Kelvin Harrison Jr. Joins 'Cyrano' Musical Movie with Peter Dinklage & Haley Bennett!

Peter Dinklage will be playing the classic character Cyrano de Bergerac in the upcoming musical movie Cyrano and it was just announced that Kelvin Harrison Jr. will join the cast!

The 26-year-old actor will be playing the role of Christian while Haley Bennett is taking on the character Roxanne, according to Deadline.

Also appearing in the movie will be Brian Tyree Henry and Ben Mendelsohn.

The musical Cyrano movie will be an adaptation of the Off-Broadway stage show, which was written by Peter‘s wife Erica Schmidt. She wrote the screenplay and the film will be directed by Joe Wright, who is Haley‘s real-life partner.

Kelvin is best known for his work in the movies Luce, Waves, The Photograph, and most recently, The High Note.

Netflix has released the trailer for the highly anticipated new movie The Trial of the Chicago 7!

The movie based on a true story, directed and written by Aaron Sorkin, will be released on October 16.

Here’s the synopsis: “What was intended to be a peaceful protest at the 1968 Democratic National Convention turned into a violent clash with police and the National Guard. The organizers of the protest – including Abbie Hoffman (Sacha Baron Cohen), Jerry Rubin (Jeremy Strong), Tom Hayden (Eddie Redmayne) and Bobby Seale (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) – were charged with conspiracy to incite a riot and the trial that followed was one of the most notorious in history.”

The film also stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Keaton, Frank Langella, John Carroll Lynch, Mark Rylance, Alex Sharp, Noah Robbins, Danny Flaherty, Ben Shenkman, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Caitlin Fitzgerald, Alice Kremelberg, John Doman, J.C. MacKenzie, Damien Young, Wayne Duvall, and C.J. Wilson.

Euphoria's New Star Kelvin Harrison Jr. Dishes on His Character for Season 2

Kelvin Harrison Jr. is joining the cast of Euphoria for the upcoming second season of the HBO series and he’s opening up about his character.

The 25-year-old actor is a rising star in Hollywood and has been gaining tons of acclaim for roles in movies like Luce, Waves, The Photograph, and the new musical comedy The High Note.

Kelvin told Variety that he hoped to be involved with the first season of Euphoria, but it didn’t work out with his schedule.

“It was something that we had talked about for a while, because I wanted to be on Season 1 and things didn’t really go that way,” he said. “Suddenly, all the stars aligned and I got to be there. We did our first couple table reads and they were amazing. And we did our camera test and costume fittings were underway, and sets were being built … we were ready to go. And then the pandemic hit; coronavirus said, ‘Sit down.’ But, it’s exciting and everyone is so wonderful on that show. The cast is so fun and sweet and smart and it’s going to be really special. I’m happy to be part of it.”

Kelvin told Teen Vogue that he’s “never seen a character like this, period.” He added, “I can almost argue that it has not been done. It’s interesting, it is definitely a character of the time, and that’s all I got. He’s interesting.”

The second season of Euphoria is on hold right now due to the pandemic, but we can’t wait to see it when the time is right!

Dakota Johnson and Tracee Ellis Ross‘ movie The High Note will hit on-demand on May 29, skipping a theatrical release due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

Set in the dazzling world of the LA music scene comes the story of Grace Davis (Ross), a superstar whose talent, and ego, have reached unbelievable heights, and Maggie (Johnson), her overworked personal assistant. While stuck running errands, Maggie still aspires to her childhood dream of becoming a music producer. When Grace’s manager (Ice Cube) presents her with a choice that could alter the course of her career, Maggie and Grace come up with a plan that could change their lives forever.

Issa Rae is a golden goddess while walking the red carpet at the premiere of The Photograph on Tuesday night (February 11) at the SVA Theater in New York City.

The 35-year-old actress was joined at the event by co-stars LaKeith Stanfield, Kelvin Harrison Jr, Lil Rel Howery, Y’lan Noel, Wakeema Hollis, Chante Adams, Christopher Cassarino, Dakota Paradise, and writer and director Stella Meghie.

The new romantic movie will be released in theaters on Valentine’s Day and is perfect for date nights!
