Kelsea Ballerini and Kenny Chesney are slowing things down at the 2021 ACM Awards.

The two country singers teamed up for a performance of their ballad “half of my hometown” during the country music awards show from Nashville, Tenn. airing on Sunday (April 18).

Kelsea and Kenny‘s duet is featured on her album Kelsea, which she released back in March 2020. You can stream the entire album here.

Earlier in the night, Kelsea arrived at the event looking absolutely stunning in a green, silk gown.

Kenny Chesney is mourning the death of his friend Maria Rodriguez, who was tragically killed in a helicopter crash.

The 52-year-old country singer took to Instagram to share a slideshow of photos of Maria and he wrote a touching tribute to her.

“Today I have to say a very hard goodbye to my friend Maria Rodriguez in the Virgin Islands. Maria and others were killed today in a helicopter crash in St. Thomas,” Kenny said.

He continued, “She was a dear friend to me and to our island community. I have been flying with Maria for over 15 years and we shared a lot of laughs and a lot of life together. She was always the first person I saw when I landed and the last person I said goodbye to when I would leave island. I’m sure going to miss that. It’s fair to say I won’t ever be able to go to the Virgin Islands again without feeling the loss of her. She was such a huge part of my island life.”

“So goodbye sweet friend. I’m sure glad our paths crossed on this side. See you on the other,” he concluded.

It was reported on Monday (February 15) that four people died in a helicopter crash in St. Thomas, but little is known about the crash at this point.

We’re sending our thoughts and condolences to all of the victims’ loved ones during this difficult time.

Kenny Chesney is starting the party!

The country superstar kicked off the show’s first performance with “Get Along” during the 2018 Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday (April 15) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The performer kept it cool in a sleeveless T-shirt and a cowboy hat as he brought the energy to the awards show. Kenny is set to embark on a tour starting this summer with the 2018 Trip Around the Sun Tour, and “Get Along” is the first offering from his upcoming album.

It looks like Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez were cheering on the New England Patriots at the 2018 Super Bowl!

The couple, who were in attendance at the game on Sunday (February 4) in Minneapolis, Minnesota, posed for a photo with Robert Kraft, who owns the Patriots. Singer Kenny Chesney was also photographed with the couple in the pic.

Alex captioned the photo, “Congratulations to the @philadelphiaeagles on their first Super Bowl win and the @Patriots for a good fight. The fans were the winners last night! #RobertKraft @kennychesney #SuperBowlLII.”

During the game, NBC’s cameras panned to Jennifer and Alex together watching the game in the stands.

The Philadelphia Eagles ultimately beat the New England Patriots 41-33 after Nick Foles‘ amazing performance at quarterback for the Eagles.

Taylor Swift joined her longtime friend Kenny Chesney on stage at his concert in 2015 for a duet of “Big Star” and now the country singer has shared a live recording!

The song is featured on Kenny‘s Live in No Shoes Nation live album, which is available now.

“This song is about a girl who had a dream and followed it,” Kenny tells the crowd at the beginning of the recording. “I know from living in this town for so many years that there’s a lot of girls out there in the audience with a lot of dreams in their head. This song goes out to you, alright?”

Taylor served as the opening act for Kenny‘s Flip-Flop Summer Tour in 2007, just after releasing her debut album.

Kenny Chesney is joined by a female friend while going for a walk along the beach on Friday (December 30) in St. Barts.

The 48-year-old singer went barefoot while holding his shoes in his hand for his stroll in the sand.

Kenny took to his Instagram account a few days earlier to share a Christmas message with his fans. “Merry Christmas from Blue Chair Bay,” he captioned a pic of him on the beach with a blue chair, a reference to his rum company.

Keith Urban is all smiles while hitting the stage to perform at the 2016 BMI Country Awards held at BMI on Monday (November 1) in Nashville, Tenn.

The 49-year-old singer was joined at the event by Jamie Lynn Spears, Jessie James Decker, Scotty McCreery, Danielle Bradbery, Luke Bryan, Lauren Alaina, Trent Harmon, Thomas Rhett, Brantley Gilbert, Eric Church, A Thousand Horses, Florida Georgia Line, Cam, Dustin Lynch and Kenny Chesney, who was honored for his prolific songwriting career with the BMI President’s Award as well as Country Songwriter, Song and Publisher of the Year.

Keith and Eric performed Kenny‘s hits “I Go Back” and “Anything But Mine,” and famed songwriter Dean Dillon sang Kenny‘s first single, “The Tin Man.”

“I don’t know that in my whole life I’ve ever felt so much love in a room,” Kenny expressed, teary eyed (via USA Today). “Thank you for that.”
