Kristen Bell and Kirby Howell-Baptiste are teaming up for a new comedy!

The 40-year-old The Good Place actress and the 34-year-old Cruella actress play scamming, extreme couponers in the new movie Queenpins.

Paul Walter Hauser, Vince Vaughn, Bebe Rexha, Dayo Okeniyi, Joel McHale, Nick Cassavetes, Jack McBrayer, and Annie Mumolo also star in the movie.

Directed and written by Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly, and inspired by a true story, Queenpins about “a bored and frustrated suburban homemaker, Connie (Bell) and her best pal JoJo (Howell-Baptiste), a vlogger with dreams, who turn a hobby into a multi-million dollar counterfeit coupon caper. After firing off a letter to the conglomerate behind a box of cereal gone stale, and receiving an apology along with dozens of freebies, the duo hatch an illegal coupon club scheme that scams millions from mega-corporations and delivers deals to legions of fellow coupon clippers. On the trail to total coupon dominance, a hapless Loss Prevention Officer (Hauser) from the local supermarket chain joins forces with a determined U.S. Postal Inspector (Vaughn) in hot pursuit of these newly-minted ‘Queenpins’ of pink collar crime.”

If you missed it, Kristen just signed on to star this upcoming comedy film alongside two big stars.

Queenpins opens in theaters on September 10 and will then debut on Paramount+ later this year.

Neil Gaiman is opening up after seeing the backlash over the cast of Netflix’s Sandman, which is based of his comic book series of the same name.

The author spoke directly to his fans on social media and called out those who had been complaining about the casting of non-binary and Black actors in the roles.

Cruella‘s Kirby Howell-Baptiste is just one of the 12 stars who have joined Netflix‘s upcoming The Sandman series.

The actress will join previously announced stars Tom Sturridge, Gwendoline Christie, Vivienne Acheampong, Boyd Holbrook, Charles Dance, Asim Chaudhry and Sanjeev Bhaskar in the DC Comic’s based on Neil Gaiman‘s stories.

The series is described as “a rich blend of modern myth and dark fantasy in which contemporary fiction, historical drama and legend are seamlessly interwoven…The Sandman the people and places affected by Morpheus, the Dream King, as he tries to fix all the cosmic and human mistakes he’s made during his vast existence.”

The character posters for Cruella, debuting May 28 on Disney+, have finally debuted!

Cruella, which is set in 1970s London amidst the punk rock revolution, follows a young grifter named Estella (Emma Stone), a clever and creative girl determined to make a name for herself with her designs. She befriends a pair of young thieves who appreciate her appetite for mischief, and together they are able to build a life for themselves on the London streets. One day, Estella’s flair for fashion catches the eye of the Baroness von Hellman (Emma Thompson). But their relationship sets in motion a course of events and revelations that will cause Estella to embrace her wicked side and become the raucous, fashionable and revenge-bent Cruella.

The film stars Emma Stone as the title character, Emma Thompson as the Baroness, Joel Fry as Jasper, Paul Walter Hauser as Horace and Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Anita. Kerry Washington, Billy Porter, and Janelle Monae hit the carpet while attending the 2020 Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon on Thursday (February 6) at the Four Seasons’ Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The stars were all at the event to celebrate some of the most successful and inspiring black women in Hollywood!

Kirby Howell-Baptiste has joined the cast of the upcoming Disney movie Cruella!

The 32-year-old British actress, best known for her work on Why Women Kill and Killing Eve, is joining Emma Stone in the origin story.

Variety reports that Kirby‘s role in the movie is currently being kept under wraps.

Emma is starring as the famed 101 Dalmatians villain who is obsessed with capturing the puppies mentioned in the title. Also featured in the cast are Emma Thompson, Paul Walter Hauser, and Joel Fry.

The movie will be released on December 23, 2020.
