Pentatonix Celebrate Their 10th Anniversary By Covering Lady Gaga's 'Telephone'

Pentatonix is celebrating their 10th anniversary in an epic way.

The quintet – Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola and Matt Sallee – shared a video of them performing Lady Gaga‘s “Telephone”, which just happens to be the song they performed as the official group back in 2011.

The original group included Avi Kaplan, who left in 2017.

“The very first time we all sang ‘Telephone’ together as Pentatonix was literally the day before our audition for ‘The Sing-Off’: June 4th, 2011,” Scott shared with Variety about the milestone.

He added, “The second we started singing, it clicked, and we all knew we had something very special. I absolutely cannot believe it’s been 10 years already and I am incredibly grateful — and feel insanely lucky — that it’s my job to harmonize and perform with my best friends.”

After singing “Telephone” on The Sing-Off, Pentatonix won the show, and gained a recording contract with Sony Music and $200,000.

Pentatonix have won a lot of Grammys for their music so far.
