David Harbour steps out in a sharp suit for a special screening of his new movie, Black Widow, hosted by The Cinema Society & Synchrony in East Hampton, New York, on Friday (July 2).

The 46-year-old actor welcomed many stars for the screening including Mariska Hargitay, Ellen Pompeo and Drew Barrymore.

Other guests at the special event just before the holiday weekend included Mariska’s husband, Peter Hermann, Ellen’s husband Chris Ivery and daughter Stella, Brooke Shields and husband Chris Henchy, Gayle King, Zachary Quinto, and Christie Brinkley and her daughter Alexa Ray Joel.

Jon Leguizamo, Stephanie March, Kyle MacLachlan, Maye Musk, Wendi Murdoch, Donna Karan, Cynthia Nixon and Christine Marinoni, Shawn Levy, Laurie Anderson, and Kathryn Gallagher were also spotted at the event.

Kyle MacLachlan starred in the original Dune movie and he doesn’t seem to agree with the idea to remake the film.

The 61-year-old actor played Paul Atreides in the 1984 film, which was written and directed by David Lynch.

Timothee Chalamet will be playing the role in the upcoming remake, directed by Denis Villeneuve. Two movies have already been shot, with the first coming out in December.

“My feelings about it evolve over time. I look at it as a flawed gem,” Kyle told IndieWire about his thoughts on the original film. “It’s stunning in so many ways. As a story, and trying to recreate that story, it’s almost impossible. It’s incredibly dense, and a little bit like a house of cards. If you leave out one element of the story or another, the structure tends to wobble, and you don’t get the full effect.”

Kyle is “curious” to see what Villeneuve has done with the material.

“I would lobby for three or more films, because it has that kind of potential to really open up. In my imagination, I always thought it would be great to approach it like a Game of Thrones model, where you have seasons, or at least a 10-part series, or a 12-part series. You could really go from beginning to end,” he said.

The three actors looked really, really good at the presentation that they attended alongside Jason‘s wife and actor, Lisa Bonet, as well as couples Julia Carey and James Corden, and Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble.

Peggy Lipton is being remembered by her Twin Peaks co-stars.

After hearing news of her death, Kyle MacLachlan took to Twitter to pay tribute to his co-star, who played Double R Diner owner Norma Jennings on the show.

“The RR diner is dark today. Very sorry to hear Peggy Lipton is gone,” the 60-year-old actor, who played Dale Cooper on the show, wrote. “We’ve lost a beautiful soul.”

Fellow Twin Peaks cast mate Mädchen Amick – who played Shelly Johnson – took to Instagram to write a heartfelt tribute to Peggy.

“I lost a sister today. She was a true angel on earth. Always the coolest in the room. You couldn’t fit anymore love into that gorgeous soul of hers and she shared her heart generously with everyone around her,” Madchen wrote. “She was such a proud mother. Loved her girls more than anything in the world. I will always love you Peggy. I hope to dance with you again in the stars one day.”

Peggy‘s daughters Kidada and Rashida Jones released a statement on Saturday (May 11) that their mom had passed away after a battle with cancer. She was 72.
