The cast of Glee reunited to pay tribute to late co-star Naya Rivera and you can watch the video right here!

16 members of the cast gathered on Zoom to talk about their favorite memories of Naya on the 10-year anniversary of her character Santana Lopez coming out as a lesbian on network TV. The reunion was part of the 2021 GLAAD Media Awards, which aired on Thursday (April 8).

Demi Lovato, who played Santana’s girlfriend Dani on Glee, opened the tribute. She said, “I will always cherish the chance I got to play Naya‘s girlfriend, Dani, on Glee. The character Naya played, Santana Lopez, was groundbreaking for closeted queer girls, like I was at the time. Her ambition and accomplishments inspired Latina women all over the world.”

The cast members who then participated in the reunion included Jacob Artist, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Jessalyn Gilsig, Dot-Marie Jones, Vanessa Lengies, Jane Lynch, Kevin McHale, Heather Morris, Matthew Morrison, Alex Newell, Lauren Potter, Amber Riley, Harry Shum Jr., Becca Tobin, and Jenna Ushkowitz. Notably absent were Lea Michele and Dianna Agron.

The reunion ended with Jessalyn reading a note written by Naya‘s mom.

Glee is celebrating 10 years since the show premiered on Fox!

The musical show ran for six seasons, featured over 728 musical numbers, a concert film, and multiple soundtrack compilations. The cast of the show also embarked on two concert tours.

Members of the cast included Matthew Morrison as the McKinley High choir teacher Will Schuester, Jane Lynch as the mean cheer coach Sue Sylvester, as well as students Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Kevin McHale, Amber Riley, Jenna Ushkowitz, Chris Colfer, Dianna Agron, Harry Shum Jr, Naya Rivera, Heather Morris, Alex Newell, Mark Salling, Chord Overstreet, Darren Criss, Melissa Benoist, Grant Gustin, Max Adler, Lauren Potter, Blake Jenner, and more!

Glee also had a ton of guest stars including Britney Spears, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, Jeff Goldblum, Ricky Martin, Idina Menzel, Kristin Chenoweth, Carol Burnett, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, and Whoopi Goldberg, among others.

Ahead of the show’s fifth season, star Cory Monteith passed away from a drug and alcohol overdose. The show honored the late actor in the third episode of that season with a tribute episode titled “The Quarterback”.

Glee star Lauren Potter got engaged to her childhood friend turned beau Timothy Spear over the summer, but they have split.

“It hurts,” the 26-year-old actress said to People. She added that he ended things over the holidays. “After we got married I wanted to wake up and see him make breakfast for me. I loved him so much.”

“He did not like the publicity,” Robin Sinkhorn, Lauren‘s mom, added. “It was overwhelming.”

To keep her spirits up, Lauren told the publication she’s been on a few dates, and has been hitting the gym. She’s also been working with a job coach, and will appear on the April 11 finale of Switched at Birth.

A congrats is in order for Glee alum Lauren Potter!

The 26-year-old actress just got engaged to her longtime boyfriend Timothy Spear over a picnic in Laguna Beach, Calif.

“He picked out the ring, made payments on it, and then planned the picnic and the moment to get down on one knee to ask her to promise to be his one-and-only and marry him when they are ready,” Lauren‘s mom Robin Sinkhorn told People. “Then they watched the sunset together.”

Congrats to the happy couple on the exciting news!

After six seasons, the Glee series finale has aired and the show is officially over.

The first hour of the episode was a look back to 2009 and how the New Directions was formed in the first place. It featured some amazing flashback moments, including an incredible tribute to Cory Monteith and the pilot episode.

The second hour starts with us finding out if the New Directions win at the 2015 National Show Choir Championships. Throughout the hour we learn the fate of all the main characters and are treated to a bunch of great musical numbers.

Sarah Hyland and Jenna Ushkowitz make their entrances at Entertainment Weekly’s 2015 SAG Awards Nominee Celebration held at Chateau Marmont on Saturday night (January 24) in Los Angeles.

Jenna Ushkowitz is white hot while attending Entertainment Weekly’s Celebration honoring the 2014 SAG Awards nominees held at Chateau Marmont on Friday (January 17) in Los Angeles.

The 27-year-old actress was joined by her Glee co-stars Alex Newell and Lauren Potter.
