Sean Penn just confirmed the news…he married Leila George, 28, amid the Coronavirus pandemic!

“We did a COVID wedding,” the 59-year-old actor said on Seth Meyers‘ show on Monday night (August 3). “By that, I mean it was a county commissioner on Zoom and we were at the house with my two children and her brother, and we did it that way.”

Sean and Leila were rumored to have gotten married after this was shared on social media.

Sean and Leila started dating back in 2016. If you didn’t know, she is the daughter of Law & Order: Criminal Intent star Vincent D’Onofrio.

Leila has acted in movies like 2018′s Mortal Engines and 2019′s The Kid (which was written and directed by her dad), as well as the TV series Animal Kingdom.

It appears that Sean Penn and Leila George just got married!

The 59-year-old Oscar-winning actor and the 28-year-old actress tied the knot recently in a private ceremony, the couple’s friend Irena Medavoy revealed on Instagram.

Irena is a philanthropist who is married to legendary movie producer Mike Medavoy. She says that Sean is like “a son” to Mike and she’s “over the moon” that he has found his soul mate.

“We are so happy for @leilageorge #seanpenn getting married. We love you. Thank you for being like family, a son to mike,” Irena wrote on Instagram. “We are over the moon to find your soul mate true partner, [Sean]. true love that also changes the world for better. You are meant to be together. God Bless you both and the family you have joined. Introducing the Penn’s.” On her Instagram Stories, she also shared a photo of what appears to be their wedding rings.

Some of the celebs who commented on the post to send their well wishes include Josh Brolin, Rosanna Arquette, and Frances Fisher.

Sean and Leila started dating back in 2016. If you didn’t know, she is the daughter of Law & Order: Criminal Intent star Vincent D’Onofrio.

Sean Penn and girlfriend Leila George are making a rare public appearance together!

The 59-year-old two-time Oscar winner and the 27-year-old Australian actress held hands while arriving at the Meet Me In Australia Benefit Event on Sunday evening (March 8) at the LA Zoo in Los Angeles.

The event was hosted by The Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association to benefit the Australia wildfire relief efforts.

Other stars in attendance included Shania Twain, Mad About You actress Helen Hunt, The Office actor Rainn Wilson and wife Holiday Reinhorn, Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, and Property Brothers star Drew Scott with wife Linda Phan.

If you didn’t know, Sean and Leila have been dating for a little over three years.

Just last month, the couple joined his kids Hopper and Dylan Penn at the 2020 CORE Gala.

Sean Penn makes a rare public appearance alongside girlfriend Leila George while attending the 2020 CORE Gala held at Wiltern Theatre on Wednesday (January 15) in Los Angeles.

The 59-year-old actor has been dating Leila, 27, for a little over three years. If you didn’t know, she is the daughter of actor Vincent D’Onofrio.

Also in attendance at the gala were Sean‘s kids Dylan Penn and Hopper Penn, who he shares with ex-wife Robin Wright. See photos of the star-studded crowd from the gala!

The annual gala supported the work of Sean’s organization CORE: Community Organized Relief Effort. $5 million was raised for CORE and its disaster relief and preparedness work across the world, including Haiti, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and right here in the US.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Camila Morrone are feeling the love.

The 44-year-old Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star and his 22-year-old model girlfriend were spotted sharing a kiss while at dinner with Sean Penn and girlfriend Leila George on Tuesday (August 6) at Lo Scoglio restaurant in Nerano, Italy.

The group seemed to have a fun conversation together, as S was seen having drinks while Leila playfully ruffled his hair. Camilla was seen feeding Leo some food on their fun vacation together.

The 58-year-old Mystic River actor and his 27-year-old girlfriend Leila George were spotted on vacation together on Sunday (August 11) in Sardinia, Italy.

Sean was spotted getting shirtless and taking a leap into the water.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Camila Morrone are guests on the same yacht. The two were seen cuddling up and going for a swim as well!

Sean is currently directing a drama called Flag Day, about a father who lives a double life as a counterfeiter, bank robber and con man in order to provide for his daughter.
