Michael Costello has apologized to Leona Lewis after she accused him of humiliating her while working together for a charity event in 2014.

The “Bleeding Love” singer says that she was assigned to be dressed by Michael for a charity fashion show in 2014 and she claimed he refused to alter the sample size dress to fit her.

Leona ended up sitting in the audience for the fashion show while all of the other celebrities walked the runway, which caused her body insecurity issues that lasted for years.

Michael wrote an open letter on his Instagram Stories and said he’s surprised by Leona‘s comments because she continued to wear his gowns and tag him in Instagram posts.

Leona Lewis is speaking out to share the humiliating experience she had in 2014 while working with fashion designer Michael Costello.

The “Bleeding Love” singer spoke out one day after Michael accused Chrissy Teigen of bullying him and trying to blacklist him from the fashion community.

Leona revealed that Michael was supposed to dress her to walk in a charity fashion show and that when she arrived for the fitting, he refused to alter the dress to fit her. The night before the fashion show, he abandoned his commitment to dress her and she had to sit in the audience during the event while all the other celebs walked the runway. Leona expressed how she’s sorry to see what Michael went through and she’s not trying to discount his experience, but she doesn’t believe we should knock people down when they’re showing remorse for their actions.

“We all make mistakes, I know I have, but at this time I feel that when people apologize (Chrissy) and show sincere remorse and rehabilitation for their actions, we should embrace them and not try and kick them when they’re down,” Leona said.

It’s been so long since we’ve reported on a major red carpet event and the biggest one just happened since the start of the pandemic!

So many celebrities were in attendance at the Monte-Carlo Gala For Planetary Health on Thursday (September 24) in Monte-Carlo, Monaco.

Johnny Depp, Kate Beckinsale, Sienna Miller, Helen Mirren and her husband Taylor Hackford, Maisie Williams and boyfriend Reuben Selby, Rebel Wilson and her new boyfriend Jacob Busch, Leona Lewis, Andy Garcia, Sting, models Sofia Resing and Cindy Bruna, fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger and wife Dee Ocleppo, and socialite Chloe Green were among the stars on the red carpet. Stars were all wearing masks, but many of them took them off for the photo ops.

There was a big couple debut on the red carpet at the event!

The event was dedicated to the Ocean, Earth and Humanity, highlighting this indisputable certainty: our future is dependent of healthy ecosystems.

Leona Lewis is recalling a particular distributing confrontation she once had with a white shop owner in London.

The 35-year-old singer opened up to fans about the moment, in light of the Black Lives Matter movement, revealing that the owner quickly started to hover over her and her father while they were browsing around the store.

“Eventually, she [the shop owner] came up to my dad and I and said, ‘You need to put that stuff down, you’re not allowed to touch it.’ Every other person was picking stuff up, looking at it. I immediately knew what was happening and I asked her, ‘Why? Everyone else is picking stuff up. Why do we have to put stuff down? We’re just looking at it, I’m probably going to buy it.’”

Leona continues, saying that their encounter became so confrontational that the owner threatened to call police and that other customers left the shop because it was so uncomfortable.

“It sparked a rage in me. I started saying, ‘No,I’m not going to put it down, I’m going to buy it. Why are you targeting us?’ [By now it was just] me, this woman, and my dad in the store. And she became really defensive, really agitated, and ran behind the counter. She said she was going to call the police on us if we didn’t leave the store now.’

Leona Lewis is bringing some light and joy to her fans today with an acoustic performance of her hit song “Better in Time.”

The 35-year-old singer performed the song at the piano in her home to remind fans that things will get better in time amid the current health crisis.

“A Little reminder 🌸 ‘It’ll all get better in time,’” Leona captioned the video on her Instagram account.

“Better in Time” was featured on Leona‘s debut album Spirit and it was certified platinum as a single. It charted at number 11 on the Hot 100 back in 2008.

The 47-year-old Luther actor attended the event held at The SSE Arena, Wembley on Wednesday (March 4) in London, England.

He was joined by Game of Thrones‘ Gwendoline Christie, racing driver Lewis Hamilton, and singers Leona Lewis (who hosted) and Calum Scott, who performed a duet of “You Are The Reason.”

Of his own experience growing up in London, Idris told the crowd (via Daily Mail), “Happy is my normal. Yes, there was crime. Yes, there was poverty. Yes, there were gangs.”

“Some of the people I grew up with, people I saw around the neighborhood, went down the wrong path, ended up doing the wrong thing,” he continued. “I was different. I was lucky, maybe. I wanted different things. I was an only child by immigrant parents from Sierra Leone, West Africa. And they worked hard for what they had. This way of life taught me the importance of independence and relying on myself for my own success.”

“You are all capable of making an impact so speak out about what matters – whether that is fighting against knife crime, global hunger, housing, education, sexism, combating racism,” he added. “We all need to be conscious about the world we live in because it is our responsibility to make things better together.”

Leona Lewis and husband Dennis Jauch hold hands on the red carpet while arriving at the 2020 Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars Viewing Party on Sunday (February 9) in Los Angeles.

The 34-year-old “Bleeding in Love” actress donned a black, tulle gown as she made a rare appearance with her husband at the party.
