Natalie Portman, Mahershala Ali & Sarah Michelle Gellar Unite at WE Day California 2019!

Natalie Portman keeps it chic and casual while hitting the blue carpet at WE Day California 2019 held at The Forum on Thursday (April 25) in Inglewood, Calif.

The 37-year-old Oscar-winner was joined at the event by Green Book‘s Mahershala Ali, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Neil Patrick Harris, Queer Eye‘s Karamo Brown, Grammy-winning rapper Chance The Rapper, model Winnie Harlow, YouTube star Lilly Singh, Emilio Estevez and Bill Nye.

WE Day is connected to the free, yearlong program WE Schools. Designed to enhance a school or community’s existing social initiatives or spark new ones, WE Schools provides participants with curriculum, educational resources and action campaigns, encouraging students to further their curricular learning and develop life skills to succeed beyond the classroom.

The show, sponsored by The Allstate Foundation and Unilever and presenting partners Walgreens and Microsoft, will air August 9 on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.

Selena Gomez and Natalie Portman are among the many stars teaming up for a great cause!

The two will join host Neil Patrick Harris, Mahershala Ali, Chance the Rapper, Hailee Steinfeld and Meghan Trainor at 2019 WE Day California to celebrate youth leading lasting social change in America at The Forum on April 25 in Los Angeles.

The day promises to be filled with “unforgettable performances and motivational speeches,” including Joe Jonas, Bill Nye and Pentatonix with more to be announced soon.

“Every year, WE Day leaves me feeling inspired and hopeful. The youth have an incredible positive and passionate attitude for making real change in the world. I’m so proud to celebrate young people’s year of social change and to remind them that together, we are an unstoppable movement dedicated to a brighter and better tomorrow,” says Selena.

Mahershala Ali and Winston Duke keep it cool and sophisticated while striking a pose together at the Oliver Peoples x Cary Grant Eyewear Collaboration Celebration held at the Tower Bar on Thursday (April 4) in West Hollywood.

The 45-year-old Oscar-winner and the 32-year-old Us star were joined by Abigail Spencer, Ethan Peck, Lucky Blue Smith, Eric Rutherford and Dylan Brosnan at the event celebrating the collaboration between Oliver Peoples and the Cary Grant estate, hosts Jennifer and Barbara Grant Jaynes.

Mahershala Ali to Star in Sci-Fi Film 'Sovereign'!

Mahershala Ali only just picked up his second Academy Award on Sunday (February 24), and he’s already got an exciting new role in the works!

The 45-year-old Green Book star will be featured in the upcoming film Sovereign, produced by the same producers responsible for Stranger Things and Arrival, Variety revealed on Wednesday (February 27).

Marc Munden will direct the movie, with a screenplay from A Quiet Place writers Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. Plot details are still under wraps.
