Matthew starred in the first season of the hit HBO anthology series and Mahershala, who won a Golden Globe this week for Green Book, is the star of season three.

Mahershala was joined at the premiere by co-stars Stephen Dorff, Carmen Ejogo, Sarah Gadon, Ray Fisher, Mamie Gummer, Scoot McNairy, and Deborah Ayorinde.

Westworld‘s Angela Sarafyan also attended the premiere!

Mahershala Ali sits down for an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday (January 9) in Hollywood.

The 44-year-old Green Book actor, who won a Golden Globe over the weekend, opened up about his real first name, which is 18 letters long.

Mahershalalhashbaz is the “longest word in the Bible,” he revealed. “It’s in the book of Isaiah. The prophet Isaiah’s second son, it’s his symbolic name, so he didn’t actually have to live through life with that name.”

Mahershala says that his close family and friends call him “Hershal,” but only they are allowed to do that.

Mahershala Ali makes his first appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing on Tuesday (January 8), and reveals how Bill Murray celebrated his film Green Book‘s multiple victories at the 2019 Golden Globes!

“So, Bill was toasting us and I don’t drink,” the 44-year-old actor explains to Ellen, noting that Bill was honoring the film’s cast and producers — including Viggo Mortenesen and Octavia Spencer, who were being interviewed backstage by The Hollywood Reporter at the time.

“Bill toasted his glass on Viggo’s head… and toasted on my head, and vodka spills all over my face and is running down and into my eyes and in my mouth!,” Mahershala adds. “It felt like hot acid just rolling down my face – but, hey, it’s Bill Murray, so…”

Viggo Mortensen is joined by son Henry on the red carpet at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 6) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Joining the 60-year-old Green Book star at the event was his co-star Mahershala Ali and his wife Amatus Sami-Karim.

Green Book is being honored with the Vanguard Award this year! The award honors “a film’s cast and director in recognition of their collective work on an exceptional film project.”

The movie is a frontrunner for the Oscars this year and it has grossed $33 million so far at the box office.
