Malin Akerman and Constance Zimmer celebrated Earth Day with a garden party!

The two actresses teamed up with the Environmental Media Association for a luncheon on Monday afternoon (April 22) at University High School in Los Angeles

They were also joined by EMA Executive Board Co-Chair Lance Bass, whose new restaurant Rocco’s catered the affair.

The luncheon helped support the EMA School Garden Program, which implements urban school gardens and inspires students to take action on behalf of nature.

“Even if you do one thing, it’s more than the average person. The littlest things make the biggest difference,” Constance said of her involvement with the program.

There were beachside dinners on both Friday and Saturday night, as well as a trunk show on Saturday afternoon.

Malin looked pretty in a pair of denim overalls and tan booties while Jack sported an olive-colored shirt and black shorts for their afternoon outing.

The 40-year-old actress and Constance, 48, are broad members for H&M’s new partnership with the Environmental Media Assoc., whose mission is to provide a unified voice for our planet through entertainment, storytelling and education.

Malin Akerman has an exciting new role!

The 40-year-old Billions actress has been cast in the lead role of the upcoming NBC drama pilot Prism, Variety confirmed on Friday (February 8).

The upcoming series is “an exploration of a murder trial in which every episode is told through the perspective of a different key person involved. Each new version of the facts ratchets up the mystery and the suspense, calling into question everything we have seen so far and asking if the right person is on trial.”

Malin will play Rachel Lewis, an “Erin Brockovich-type force of nature” who is empathetic as she is ruthless.

Here’s what the cast had to say over a decade after the film’s release…

Katherine, on a sequel: “I think it would be awesome to see, seriously, what are their lives like 10 years later? Do they end up together? I personally think they did…”

Katherine, on her character: “I really related to Jane. My experience [in my 20s] was being a people pleaser, trying to make people happy. I understood her mind-set.”

James, on the film’s lasting effect: “I don’t think anybody ever knows when you’re filming something that’s going to stand the test of time. I think there’s a sincerity to the movie that gives it legs.”
