Marilyn Monroe is once again causing controversy.

The iconic late actress, who passed away at the age of 36 in 1962, was immortalized in the form of a 26-foot-tall statue featuring her memorable dress-fluttering pose in The Seven Year Itch, called “Forever Marilyn.”

The statue is heading to Palm Springs, Calif. after seven years, and is meant to be placed in front of the entrance of the Palm Strings Art Museum after a city council vote, following its presentation in the city from 2012 to 2014.

However, some people aren’t so happy about it – including the museum’s director, Louis Grachos.

Ana de Armas is back in the studio!

The 32-year-old actress took to her Instagram Story over the weekend to reveal that she is back at work on her upcoming Marilyn Monroe biopic Blonde.

“Many months later, the time for ADR has arrived! #Blonde,” Ana captioned one pic where she can be seen reading a script in front of a microphone.

Ana will be playing the blonde bombshell in the upcoming film, which is based on the novel by Joyce Carol Oates, and is a fictionalized chronicle of the inner life of Marilyn. The movie is being directed by Andrew Dominik.

Back in August of last year, Ana donned a blonde wig while she transformed into Marilyn for an afternoon of filming in Los Angeles.

Blonde – which also stars Adrien Brody, Bobby Cannavale, and Sara Paxton – does not have an official release date yet.

The 31-year-old actress arrived to set as Marilyn Monroe for the upcoming film Blonde on Thursday (August 29) in Los Angeles.

Ana took a ride inside of a United States government-issued vehicle in the scene.

The film, based on the novel by Joyce Carol Oates, is a fictionalized chronicle of the inner life of Marilyn Monroe, directed by Andrew Dominik.

The movie also stars Haley Webb, Colleen Foy and Eric Matheny. There is no release date set yet.

Hugh Hefner‘s final resting place will be right next to the first-ever cover model of Playboy, the one and only Marilyn Monroe.

The Playboy founder, who died on Wednesday (September 27) at the age of 91, will be laid to rest at Westwood Village Memorial Park in Los Angeles.

Hefner purchased the plot 25 years ago for $75,000, according to People. Some of the other Hollywood legends who are buried there include Farrah Fawcett, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Natalie Wood, Truman Capote, Dean Martin, and Rodney Dangerfield.
