Joaquin Phoenix & Fiancee Rooney Mara Join Jane Fonda at Fire Drill Friday Protest in L.A.

Joaquin Phoenix joins his friend Jane Fonda on a Fire Drill Friday protest on Friday afternoon (February 7) at City Hall in Los Angeles.

The Oscar-nominated actor was joined at the event by his fiancee Rooney Mara and her sister Kate Mara at the L.A. based protest. Jane had been holding the peaceful protests in Washington D.C. for months.

More celebs in attendance at the Fire Drill Friday included Marisa Tomei with her manager Donovan Daughtry, model Amber Valletta, singer Moby, and Harry Potter‘s Bonnie Wright.

This is going to be an exciting weekend for Joaquin as he’s the frontrunner to win Best Actor at the Oscars on Sunday!

The 40-year-old Ray Donovan actress stepped out alongside Judith Light, Marisa Tomei, Zosia Mamet and her hubby Evan Jonigkeit, Julianna Margulies, Alan Cumming, Samantha Mathis, Margo Martindale, Jane Krakowski, Thomas Sadoski, Michael Kelly and Bull actress Geneva Carr for the one-night-only benefit fundraiser.

The event was co-hosted by Team Captains Julianna Margulies, Judith Light, Piper Perabo and Peter Hedges. They and their teams faced off in a series of party games to compete for the coveted title of MCC Game Night Champion!

Marisa Tomei Returns to Broadway, Celebrates 'Rose Tattoo' Opening Night!

The Oscar-winning actress was joined at the party by her co-star Emun Elliott.

Some of the celebs who stepped out to check out the show included Kate Walsh, Isabelle Huppert, and married Broadway stars Andy Karl and Orfeh.

Marisa stars in the revival of the Tennessee Williams play as “Serafina, a widow who rekindles her desire for love, lust and life in the arms of a fiery suitor.” The play is running now through December 8 at the American Airlines Theatre.
