Chris Harrison is dishing on Matt James‘ upcoming season of The Bachelor!

During a new interview, the Bachelor host revealed that Matt didn’t know much about the show before being cast as the new lead, and also had to get used to being in front of the camera.

“It was really funny,” Chris shared with Us Weekly. “There were some times where he would just — we’d be talking a thousand miles an hour and he would just stop and say, ‘Guys, I don’t know what you’re saying.’”

Chris also recalled Matt telling him, “I’ve never done [this]. I don’t know what a rose ceremony is. And we’re like, ‘Oh my gosh.’”

“We had to really go back and learn our ABCs and spoon feed this guy,” Chris continued. “But you know, to your point, there was a sense of innocence [and] naivete that was very endearing about that because he was also real.”

He added: “Everything was happening to him for the first time: group dates, two-on-ones, rose ceremonies. His eyes were just like wide open going, ‘Oh, this is crazy.’”

ABC just revealed the 32 women who will be competing for Matt James‘ heart on the upcoming season of The Bachelor and there’s one contestant who stands out among the rest.

A 27-year-old woman from Los Angeles named Victoria has her job occupation listed as “queen” and she likes to refer to herself as Queen Victoria.

In a new interview with Extra, host Chris Harrison said, “Well, obviously, I think a lot of people were talking about the queen, Queen Victoria… Look, she’ll make her mark. Will people love her? We’ll see. And you know, she definitely gets embroiled in some royal controversy… There is one controversy in particular… and how it works… is stunning and it is shocking, it is bizarre… and it’s not just with women on night one, there’s 32 women on night one. I can tell you this — that’s not all the women that will be on this season.”

The season finale of The Bachelorette is just days away and a couple weeks later, the season premiere of The Bachelor will air on ABC!

Matt James, who was supposed to be a contestant on The Bachelorette this year, was promoted to the star of The Bachelor in the middle of the pandemic. He will be the first Black man to lead the ABC dating reality show.

The network just announced the 32 women who are on the hunt for love during season 25.

At the end of night one, 24 lucky bachelorettes remain to toast the Bachelor and join him on the romantic adventure of a lifetime. The season premiere airs on Monday, January 4 at 8pm.

Matt James is the next Bachelor and his season is already filming.

Now, the franchise has debuted its very first look at the new star of the reality dating show.

“It’s an honor,” Matt previously said on Good Morning America about being chosen as the new lead of the franchise. “I’m going to lean into myself and how my mom raised me, and hopefully when people invite me into their homes Monday night they see that I’m not different from them and that diverse love stories are beautiful.”

Unfortunately, there is some upsetting news for Bachelor Nation that was just revealed in the past few weeks.

The contestants for Matt James‘ season of The Bachelor were just revealed this afternoon on social media and one has the internet buzzing.

Kit Keenan is actually the 21-year-old daughter of fashion designer Cynthia Rowley, and is a pro at the Instagram game, which is a mix of fashion, lifestyle, and lots of food.

Just last year, Kit launched her namesake line, which she says is “a mix of ready-to-wear women’s stuff and then the other half of it is artist collabs…we have contemporary artists put their work on t-shirts and sweatshirts.”

Kit also cites mom Cynthia as a role model and revealed her best piece of advice for her: “”Never take no for an answer, and only dream as big as you’re willing to work.”

She also hosts a podcast with her famous mom called Ageless — during which the pair “explore fashion, business, wellness, and motherhood through the lens of our adventures around the world.”

Included in the group of potential contestants announced, Kit is one of the youngest contestants for this season of The Bachelor, which is currently starting to film.

The final cast will be released at a later date with the premiere date in 2021.

There are 43 potential contestants that will be vying for Matt James‘ heart on the upcoming season of The Bachelor, set to air next year on ABC!

ABC posted these images to their Facebook account, teasing that some of these women “may be on this season of #TheBachelor.”

Some of the women are getting a lot of attention on Facebook and some have a lot more “likes” than others, based on the Facebook data.

Matt James‘ season of the show is expected to air in the coming months, likely early 2021.

Chris Harrison is giving a little insight of what to expect during Matt James‘ season of The Bachelor.

The longtime host of the franchise spoke to press about the upcoming season, which just kicked off filming days after wrapping production on The Bachelorette.

“I’ve had a lot of time to Zoom with Matt, talk with him. Same thing with producers, we’ve been on a lot of group chats. Even a little fantasy football,” Chris shared with E! “Because of the pandemic I haven’t been able to hang out with him and intimately get to know him, but I know the type of man he is.”

He continued, “I’ve talked a lot about him with Tyler C and he’s a genuine, good man. He’s the kind of guy you want as The Bachelor. He’s the kind of guy that I think women will be fortunate to fall in love with.”
