The highly anticipated movie Promising Young Woman was supposed to be released in theaters back in April and now the film has finally been given a new release date!

The new film, starring Carey Mulligan, will hit theaters on Christmas Day, December 25, 2020.

Here is the film’s synopsis: Everyone said Cassie (Mulligan) was a promising young woman… until a mysterious event abruptly derailed her future. But nothing in Cassie’s life is what it appears to be: she’s wickedly smart, tantalizingly cunning, and she’s living a secret double life by night. Now, an unexpected encounter is about to give Cassie a chance to right the wrongs of the past in this thrilling and wildly entertaining story.

Promising Young Woman was written and directed by Emerald Fennell, who was the showrunner for season two of Killing Eve.

Starring alongside Carey are Bo Burnham, Laverne Cox, Alison Brie, Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge, Max Greenfield, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chris Lowell, Sam Richardson, Molly Shannon, and Clancy Brown.

Matt Bomer is speaking out after a meme went viral this week that showed five of Ryan Murphy‘s leading men side-by-side – him included!

Matt, Cheyenne Jackson, Finn Wittrock, Max Greenfield, and Wes Bentley – who have all appeared on American Horror Story - are pictured with smiles on their faces and the author of the tweet couldn’t tell them apart.

“i could not name one of these men if someone put a gun to my head,” Twitter user @vintagehols wrote.

Matt retweeted the post and added, “I love all of these men and their unique talents. But if you’re going to line us up and objectify us every few months like Ryan Murphy’s version of a Hitchcock blonde…then I’ve got dibs on Grace Kelly.”

Matt has worked with Ryan on Glee, The New Normal, American Horror Story, the HBO film The Normal Heart, and the upcoming Netflix film The Boys in the Band.

The 40-year-old The Neighborhood actor made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday (October 24).

During Max’s appearance, Ellen’s resident DJ and dancer Stephen “tWitch” Boss guest-hosted and joined the star to play a game called “tWitch Caption Is Better?” with Loni Love where they come up with funny descriptions for silly photos.

Laura Dern and Noah Baumbach speak onstage together while attending the special screening and reception for their film Marriage Story held at San Vicente Bungalows on Monday (October 14) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 52-year-old actress and the 50-year-old writer-director were joined at the event by Sam Rockwell, Lisa Kudrow, Max Greenfield and his wife Tess Sanchez, and Patricia Arquette.

“Marriage Story is a love story that reveals itself within the breakdown. With these companion trailers I wanted to show the relationship through the eyes of both characters. There are many sides to every story, and the movie embraces these different viewpoints in order to find the shared truth,” director Noah Baumbach said about the film.

Make sure to watch both trailers for the film which tells the story through both character’s perspectives.

Marriage Story will be hitting select theaters and Netflix on December 6th.
