Lupita Nyong’o sparkles in $3.5 million worth of diamonds at the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards!

The 36-year-old Us actress stepped out for the event held on Sunday (January 19) at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Her gown is covered in 32,000 sequins and crystals, and it took more than 1,400 hours to complete.

“We really wanted to harness the elegance and timelessness and modernity that Lupita embodies and values,” her stylist Micaela Erlanger told THR.

Lupita is presenting tonight, and she is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her work on Us as Adelaide Wilson/Red.

Lupita Nyong’o and Tracee Ellis Ross walk the carpet at the 2018 Accessories Council ACE Awards held at Cipriani 42nd Street on Monday (June 11) in New York City.

Also in attendance at the event were Riverdale‘s Casey Cott, longtime couple Cheryl Hines and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Lupita‘s stylist Micaela Erlanger.

The 35-year-old Oscar-winning actress looked super chic in a banana-print dress as she attended the event celebrating stylist Micaela Erlanger‘s new book How to Accessorize hosted by Schutz footwear.
