Michael Keaton Doesn't Know If He'll Be Back as Batman For 'The Flash' Movie

Michael Keaton is apparently not sure if his appearance in the upcoming The Flash movie will actually be happening.

It was reported last year that the 69-year-old actor would reprise his Batman role that he played in two movies, 1989′s Batman, and 1992′s Batman Returns.

In The Flash movie, there is a play for both Michael and Ben Affleck to play their Batman roles, with the two universes linking up.

However, Michael says he’s not fully committed to the movie yet.

“I called them and said, ‘I have to be honest with you. I can’t look at anything right now,’” he told Deadline in a new interview. “I’m so deep into this thing I’m doing. Also, I’m prepping a thing I’m producing and getting ready to do down the road in the fall that I’ll be in, and I feel responsible to that. So, yeah, there is that. I’m not being cute or coy. If I talked about it, I’ll be just bulls**tting you. I don’t really know.”

Michael added that he’s been keeping an eye on the pandemic, especially in Europe.

“I keep my eye more on the Covid situation in the UK than anything,” he shared. “That will determine everything, and so that’s why I’m living outside the city here on 17 acres, staying away from everybody, because the Covid thing has got me really concerned.”

He continued, “So, that’s my first thing about all projects. I look at it and go, is this thing going to kill me, literally? And you know, if it doesn’t, then we talk.”

The Flash movie has already lost another one of the cast members.

During her appearance, she discussed her best and worst celebrity encounters, including one mishap involving Michael Keaton.

Teigen, 35, stopped by the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday to discuss her new online store, Cravings by Chrissy Teigen. In a PEOPLE exclusive clip from the episode, Teigen told the story of a post-Golden Globes mishap involving Michael Keaton.

“God, I think it was after the Golden Globes — oh no, this might be ‘worst,’” she started to explain.

“I was drinking a lot and I saw somebody at the entrance holding a glass of champagne, so I just went up and I took it and I said ‘thank you,’ and [husband John Legend] goes, ‘that was Michael Keaton.’”

“It was not someone serving champagne?” Jimmy asked.

“No, it was not. God, I’m so embarrassed by it still, I could die… I took it, I drank it, and I left,” Chrissy laughed.

She also just revealed she accidentally offended Katy Perry.

'The Trial of the Chicago 7' Will Submit All Actors Into the Same Category at 2021 Oscars

The entire cast of the movie The Trial of the Chicago 7 will be competing in the Best Supporting Actor category at the Oscars next year.

The movie, which was written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, features 12 actors billed above the title and it’s definitely an ensemble piece. Many expected that Sacha Baron Cohen and Eddie Redmayne would be campaigned as lead actors while the rest of the cast would be in the supporting category.

Now, it’s been confirmed by THR that all actors will be campaigned in the supporting category. Another time that this has happened recently was with the movie Spotlight, which went on to win Best Picture.

The cast of the film includes, in alphabetical order, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Sacha Baron Cohen, Danny Flaherty, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Keaton, Frank Langella, John Caroll Lynch, Eddie Redmayne, Noah Robbins, Mark Rylance, Alex Sharp, and Jeremy Strong.

Many believe that the actors with the best chance at landing a nomination are Abdul-Mateen II, Cohen, and former winner Rylance.

The Trial of the Chicago 7 is now streaming on Netflix.
