Reese Witherspoon, Lupita Nyong’o and Laura Dern are all looking fabulous.

The three superstar actresses were among the many stars in attendance at the 2019 New York Film Critics Circle Awards on Tuesday night (January 7) in New York City.

Lupita won Best Actress at the event, while Laura won for Best Supporting Actress.

Stars at the event included Adam Sandler and wife Jackie, Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria, Best Actor winner Antonio Banderas and girlfriend Nicole Kimpel, Mati Diop, Benny Safdie, who won Best Director for Uncut Gems with brother Josh, and Parasite director Bong Joon-ho.

Quentin Tarantino, who won Best Screenplay, was also in attendance, as well as Spike Lee, Parasite star Song Kang-ho, Mike Birbiglia, Samantha Bee and husband Jason Jones and Scott Stuber.

Lupita‘s Us co-star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II also hit the red carpet, as well as Netflix exec Ted Sarandos, Best Supporting Actor winner Joe Pesci, Tribeca CEO Jane Rosenthal, Joshua Safdie and Martin Scorsese, who won for Best Film with The Irishman.

John Mulaney is all smiles as he poses alongside his wife Annamarie Tendler while attending the special screening of his Netflix special John Mulaney & The Sack Lunch Bunch held at The Metrograph on Monday evening (December 16) in New York City.

The 37-year-old comedian also got support from his good pals Nick Kroll and Mike Birbiglia, as well as co-stars Andre De Shields, Annaleigh Ashford and the kids of The Sack Lunch Bunch.

John Mulaney aims to recapture the magic of that bygone television era when children sang songs about their feelings with celebrity guests on funky outdoor sets in John Mulaney & The Sack Lunch Bunch.

“I’m John Mulaney and I am a 37 year old man. The Sack Lunch Bunch is a group of children ages 8-13 who are more talented than me,” he said in statement. “In this special, we are joined by celebrity guests like David Byrne, Tony Award Winner Andre De Shields, Natasha Lyonne and Jake Gyllenhaal from the movie Zodiac. The result is a collage of Broadway caliber showstoppers, comedy sketches for all ages, meditations on the unknown from children and adults, and a papier mache volcano. It’s funny, musical, joyous, anxious, and surprisingly profound.”

Before the stars arrived at The Late Late Show, producers gathered various items from a cell phone – including a food order for one banana, a text about having a smart idea, and a karaoke version of Lizzo‘s “Truth Hurts” – belonging to one of them. James then grilled his guests on the clues provided to him in an attempt to figure out the mystery owner of the phone. But did he guess right?

The 39-year-old actress was joined at the opening night show by her mom Mary Jo.

The 35-year-old musician and model-photographer Carlotta made their official carpet debut at the event as they supported the star of the show Jacqueline Novak.

Get On Your Knees, presented by Lyonne and executive-produced by Birbiglia, is part feminist outcry and part coming-of-age story – Jacqueline Novak spins her material on the femininity of the penis and the stoicism of the vulva into an unexpectedly philosophical show.

“Jacqueline is a one of a kind voice for the ages,” Lyonne said in a statement. “I’m thrilled to present her show, as she is a total original whose linguistic gymnastics took my brain topsy turvy while doubling me over with laughter. I can’t wait for people to experience her hugely relevant show and singular artistry at Cherry Lane.”

At the panel alongside stand-up comedian and filmmaker Mike Birbiglia, the 48-year-old comedian mentioned that the musical based on her 2010 memoir The Bedwetter: Stories of Courage, Redemption, and Pee is set to premiere within the next year Off Broadway at The Atlantic Theatre Company in New York City.

“It’s musical. I’m not in it,” Sarah expressed, describing the theme: “it’s the year I’m 10 (years of age).”

One song will be entitled ‘Cursed from the Start‘,” Sarah also revealed (via Deadline).
