Jared Leto keeps his hood on while walking around the set of the upcoming movie Morbius on Tuesday (March 26) in Manchester, England.

The 47-year-old Oscar-winning actor is starring as Michael Morbius in the spin-off of the Spider-Man film franchise.

Morbius is “a scientist who suffered from a rare blood disease and attempted to cure himself — but ended up turning himself into a vampire,” according to THR.

The movie is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 31, 2020.

Matt Smith is close to signing on to join the cast of Morbius, a spin-off of the Spider-Man franchise.

Jared Leto is set to star in the film as the villainous character, “a scientist who tried to cure himself of a blood disease, with tragic results. He became afflicted with vampiric traits such as fangs and a thirst for blood — and wound up battling Spider-Man.”

It’s not yet known who Matt will play in the film, but Variety reports that he will have a “major role.”
