'Lord of the Rings' Amazon Series: Full Cast Revealed

Amazon’s new Lord of the Rings series has set its main cast!

Robert Aramayo, Nazanin Boniadi, and Owain Arthur will all be starring in the new show, Variety reports.

Rounding out the cast are Tom Budge, Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, and Charlie Vickers. J.A. Bayona is set to direct multiple episodes.

“After undertaking an extensive global search, we are delighted finally to reveal the first group of brilliant performers who will take part in Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings series,” said showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay. “These exceptionally talented women and men are more than just our actors: they are the newest members of an ever-expanding creative family that is now working tirelessly to bring Middle-earth to life anew for fans and audiences worldwide.”

Production will begin in February.

Not much is known about the plot of the Lord of the Rings series except that it will look into new storylines preceding J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Fellowship of the Ring.” The show’s official Twitter account posted a map along with the messages: “One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them, In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie” and “Welcome to the Second Age.”

'Lord of the Rings' Series Casts Morfydd Clark as Young Galadriel

Morfydd Clark has snagged a lead role in Amazon’s new Lord of the Rings series!

The His Dark Materials actress will portray young Galadriel, Variety reports, marking the first major character from the original books to join the cast.

Cate Blanchett played Young Galadriel in the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films.

Morfydd Clark joins cast members Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, and Maxim Baldry for the Amazon series, which has been given a two-season order.

Not much is known about the plot of the new Lord of the Rings series except that it will delve into new storylines that take place before J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Fellowship of the Ring.”

Dev Patel & Gwendoline Christie Bring 'The Personal History of David Copperfield' to BFI London Film Festival 2019

Dev Patel and co-star Gwendoline Christie hit the red carpet at the premiere of their new movie The Personal History of David Copperfield on Wednesday night (October 2) at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London, England.

The 29-year-old Oscar-nominated actor looked handsome in a gray suit while the 40-year-old Game of Thrones star looked pretty in a pink and red sculptured dress for the screening of their film held during the 2019 BFI London Film Festival.

Fellow cast members at the screening included Hugh Laurie, Rosalind Eleazar, Jairaj Varsani, Morfydd Clark, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Darren Boyd, and Aimee Kelly along with director Armando Iannucci.

Last month, the cast stepped out for the screening of the film held during TIFF.

The Personal History of David Copperfield is a retelling of Charles Dickens’ famous novel. The book was first published back in 1850. The film is scheduled to hit theaters in early 2020.

Dev Patel & Hugh Laurie Premiere 'The Personal History of David Copperfield' at TIFF 2019

Dev Patel is all smiles on the red carpet as he attends the premiere of his new movie The Personal History of David Copperfield on Thursday (September 5) at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto, Canada.

The 29-year-old actor looked sharp in a black suit as he attended the premiere held during the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival.

Fellow co-stars at the event included Hugh Laurie, Aimee Kelly, Aneurin Barnard, and Morfydd Clark along with director Armando Iannucci.
