Moulin Rouge! The Musical is officially open on Broadway and we have some great photos to share to give you a peek inside the new production.

The musical, directed by Tony nominee Alex Timbers, is based on the movie directed by Baz Luhrmann.

Aaron Tveit and Karen Olivo star as Christian and Satine, the roles originated on screen by Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman. (See what they wore to the opening night party!)

Also starring in the musical are Danny Burstein as Harold Zidler, Tam Mutu as The Duke of Monroth, Ricky Rojas as Santiago, and Robyn Hurder as Nini.

Tickets are on sale now for the musical, which is playing at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in New York City.

Aaron Tveit & Karen Olivo Celebrate ‘Moulin Rouge’ Opening Night on Broadway!

The Broadway stars are taking on the roles of star-crossed lovers Satine and Christian, who were played by Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor in the movie version.

The new musical got a rave review from The New York Times and is a "Critic's Pick" selection. They called Karen a "knockout" and said that Aaron is doing his best Broadway work to date!

Tickets for the musical are currently on sale through February 2020, but you can bet this show isn't going anywhere for a long time.

Baz Luhrmann Gets Lots of Celeb Support at ‘Moulin Rouge’ Broadway Opening!

Baz Luhrmann steps out for the opening night performance of Broadway's Moulin Rouge musical on Thursday (July 25) at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in New York City.

The 56-year-old filmmaker, who wrote and directed the film version, was joined at the event by his wife Catherine Martin, as well as Vogue's Anna Wintour and her daughter Bee Shaffer.

Baz and Catherine are credited by the production for their "creative services."

More stars in attendance at the event included Billy Eichner, Lin-Manuel Miranda, John Mulaney, Gloria Estefan and husband Emilio, as well as Broadway stars Stephanie Styles, Bernadette Peters, Ariana DeBose, Nick Adams, Jessica Vosk, and Steven Pasquale, plus producer Jordan Roth.

You've gotta see the incredible video that Jordan made on the stage of the theatre!

‘Moulin Rouge’ Stars Celebrate with Fans After First Broadway Performance!

Moulin Rouge has officially arrived on Broadway and the musical is currently in preview performances!

Aaron Tveit and Karen Olivo, who play the star-crossed lovers Christian and Satine, joined the rest of the cast in celebrating with fans after the first performance on Friday (June 28) at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in New York City.

The cast all appeared on a balcony outside the theatre following the performance before going down to the stage door and meeting the fans.

The official opening night performance for Moulin Rouge will be on July 25. Get your tickets now!

Aaron Tveit Joins ‘Moulin Rouge’ Co-Stars at Tony Awards 2019!

Aaron Tveit, Danny Burstein, and Karen Olivo walk the red carpet at the 2019 Tony Awards on Sunday (June 9) at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

The three Broadway stars will be leading the cast of the upcoming stage adaptation of Moulin Rouge, which kicks off performances on June 28.

Aaron, Danny, and Karen are presenting the Creative Arts awards, which happen before the telecast begins. They'll also appear during the show to quickly recap the winners for the audience at home.

If you didn't know, Karen is a former Tony winner and Danny has six nominations to his name!

Aaron Tveit & Karen Olivo Celebrate ‘Moulin Rouge’ Gala Performance in Boston!

Aaron Tveit and Karen Olivo pose for a photo at the special gala performance for Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Sunday night (July 29) at the Emerson Colonial Theatre in Boston, Mass.

The two stars were joined by co-stars Danny Burstein and Tam Mutu to celebrate the special performance.

The musical's pre-Broadway run is currently running in Boston through August 19. There is no Broadway run currently scheduled, but it would be surprising if the show doesn't transfer!

Aaron Tveit Belts Out Moulin Rouge’s ‘Come What May’ – Watch Now!

Aaron Tveit singing “Come What May” from the Moulin Rouge! is going to make your day!

The 34-year-old actor will be portraying the role of Christian in the musical, the role played by Ewan McGregor in the movie.

The show will be premiering next month at Boston’s Emerson Colonial Theatre in a pre-Broadway run.

Also starring in the musical are Karen Olivo, Danny Burstein, Sahr Naugjah, Ricky Rojas, and Robyn Hurder.

The show will run from June 27 to August 5 in Boston! Be sure to check it out if you're in town.
