Naomie Harris Joins Chiwetel Ejiofor in Showtime's 'Man Who Fell To Earth' Series

Naomie Harris has signed on to star in Showtime’s The Man Who Fell To Earth series.

The 44-year-old actress will join Chiwetel Ejiofor in the drama series based on Walter Tevis’ 1963 science fiction novel of the same name.

Naomie is set to portray Justin Falls, who is described as “a brilliant scientist and engineer who must conquer her own demons in the race to save two worlds.”

Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet are writing and executive producing the series and with executive producer John Hlavin will serve as showrunners.

“To be working with an actor of Naomie’s caliber is an absolute dream,” the producers shared in a statement. “Her strength, her complexity and her bold artistic choices are an inspiration. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have her on board.”

The Man Who Fell to Earth drama series will center on a new alien character (Ejiofor) who arrives on Earth at a turning point in human evolution and must confront his own past to determine our future.

There’s a new poster for the James Bond movie No Time to Die, which may very well be the next major blockbuster to hit theaters after the Coronavirus pandemic.

Amid reports that Disney/Marvel is considering moving the planned November release of Black Window, this would place No Time to Die as the next big movie to hit theaters on November 20.

Christopher Nolan‘s Tenet was one of the first major movies to open in theaters during the COVID-19 pandemic and it hasn’t had a huge box office domestically.

Here’s a synopsis: In No Time To Die, Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

Daniel Craig stars alongside Léa Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz, Ralph Fiennes, Rory Kinnear, Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, and Billy Magnussen.

Jude Law & Naomie Harris Experience Frightening Island Traditions in 'The Third Day' Trailer

Jude Law screams into an empty field in the first trailer for The Third Day.

The limited series is split in half with two stories with Jude leading the “Summer”, and Naomie Harris leading “Winter”.

The Summer part focuses on Sam, a man who is drawn to a mysterious island off the British coast where he encounters a group of islanders set on preserving their traditions at any cost.

Isolated from the mainland, Sam is unable to leave the idyllic and dangerously enchanting world he has discovered, where the secretive rituals of its inhabitants bring him to grapple with experiences of loss and trauma hidden in his past through the distorted lens of the present.

In the Winter half, Helen is a strong-willed outsider who comes to the island seeking answers, but whose arrival precipitates a fractious battle to decide its fate as the lines between fantasy and fact are distorted.

The Third Day, also starring Katherine Waterston and Emily Watson, will premiere on September 14 on HBO.

Naomie Harris holds onto a big accordion file while heading to a business meeting in London, England over the weekend.

The 43-year-old No Time To Die actress was toting two of the big files while arriving to her appointment just after lockdown lifted in the country, due to the pandemic.

In a recent interview, Naomie opened up about how No Time To Die will pick up after Spectre, and just where Moneypenny is now.

“Moneypenny has grown up somewhat,” she told HeyUGuys (via). “I think she still has her soft spot for Bond though, that’s never going to go. But she’s an independent woman with her own life.”

No Time To Die is set to hit theaters in November.

Daniel Craig & Rachel Weisz Make Rare Appearance Together to Clap for NHS Workers

Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz very rarely make public appearances together, but they’re joining forces in a new video posted to the James Bond social accounts.

The married couple are clapping for the workers of the NHS alongside the cast of No Time to Die.

The United Kingdom launched the #ClapForCarers initiative in which they encourage people to show their support for the healthcare workers who are on the frontlines during the current health crisis.

“Thank you to everyone, everywhere, who is working to keep us safe,” the @007 account wrote along with the following video. Also featured are Rory Kinnear, Ben Whishaw, and Naomie Harris.
