Hit Songs That the Artists Now Regret

Everyone has their special fuzzy memories of their favorite smashes over the years – but now and then, the artists themselves don’t exactly feel the same way about their own music.

Over time, plenty of different pop stars and singer-songwriters have spoken out following the smash success of their songs to reveal that, for one reason or another, they feel awkward, embarrassed or even ashamed about certain songs.

In some cases, it comes down to the lyrical content. And in others, it’s all due to the song’s complete over-saturation of the market. Regardless, these stars have enough distance between the song’s release and now to reflect on the choices they made.

We’ve gathered together some of the biggest hits from the likes of everyone from Taylor Swift to Radiohead, and how the artists really feel about the songs. Some of these are bound to surprise you!

Neil Young Is Suing Donald Trump's Campaign for Using His Music

Neil Young has filed a lawsuit against the Donald Trump 2020 campaign.

He said he was not suing to “disrespect the rights and opinions of American citizens, who are free to support the candidate of their choosing…However, Plaintiff in good conscience cannot allow his music to be used as a ‘theme song’ for a divisive, un-American campaign of ignorance and hate.”

“The campaign has willfully ignored Plaintiff’s telling it not to play the Songs and willfully proceeded to play the Songs despite its lack of a license,” according to the lawsuit.

This fellow rocker recently demanded that Trump stop playing his music at a rally as well.

Neil Young Confirms Marriage to Daryl Hannah in a Passionate Plea to Vote in Midterm Elections

Neil Young and Daryl Hannah are officially married!

The two, who reportedly got married in a private ceremony back in August after years of dating, hadn’t made the news official until Wednesday (October 31), when Neil referenced Daryl as his wife in a passionate message on his website posted along with a live version of the Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young song “Ohio.”

“‘Ohio’ was written back in 1970 after seeing the cover of a magazine with a young girl kneeling beside her fallen friend. When the National Guard murdered four students at Ohio’s Kent State University for protesting the Vietnam War, it was a pivotal moment in our history. It was a pivotal moment for me. Today we see what we have become. With no real laws protecting us from guns, and with politicians supporting the NRA because the NRA supports them, we are not well represented. Today’s students are brave, demanding change in violent times,” he wrote.

“We stand with them. They are us. We are them. This has been going on for far too long. My wife Daryl and I put this video together for you to reflect on. Support the students. Support our children. They want protection. Not more guns. VOTE.”
