Nicolas Cage is all smiles alongside wife Riko Shibata as they arrive at the Pig held at Nuart Theatre on Tuesday night (July 13) in Los Angeles.

The 57-year-old actor held hands with his new bride, who he married just a few months ago in Las Vegas.

“It’s true, and we are very happy,” was the only statement Nicolas shared after the couple tied the knot in March.

Nicolas was joined by co-stars Alex Wolff and Adam Arkin, as well as director Michael Sarnoski for the event.

Pig centers on a truffle hunter who lives alone in the Oregonian wilderness, who must return to his past in Portland in search of his beloved foraging pig after she is kidnapped.

The movie will debut in select theaters on July 16.

Nicolas Cage will not be playing Joe Exotic after all.

In a new report from Variety, the planned series at Amazon has been scrapped.

“We should clear the record,” Nicolas shared with the trade about the project. “I read two excellent scripts, which I did think were excellent, but I think Amazon ultimately felt that it was material that had become past tense because it took so long for it come together.”

He adds, “They felt at one point that it was lightning in a bottle, but that point has since faded into the distance and it’s no longer relevant.”

While this series about Joe Exotic, which was inspired by Netflix’s Tiger King, will not be going forward, there is another project that will.

Nicolas Cage‘s mother has sadly passed away.

The 57-year-old actor’s mother, Joy Vogelsang, died at the age of 85 on May 26 in Los Angeles, his brother Christopher Coppola confirmed on Facebook.

She was suffering from mental health issues for a while, and was hospitalized for two weeks before her death.

“My dear sweet mama died tonight at 10:33pm. Thank you for all your prayers and being with me the last few days. As weird as all this digital friendship is, as the former ‘DigiVangelist’ knows, it actually can mean something if it comes from the heart. Bless you all,” he wrote.

“She had a very hard life with mental health issues. In all of that painful emotional chaos she still managed to teach me something super important. My mama lioness told me, her middle son cub, that I was affectionate. I was very embarrassed by the term affection. I thought it was a bad thing, a something to laugh at thing,” he continued.

“I learned from my mama what ‘affection’ really means. I believe only a mama can truly teach that. It’s not love thy neighbor. It’s smaller yet bigger. Shake one’s hand with tenderness and meaning. Don’t let your mind wonder while you hug someone. And, and your kiss should definitely be sincere and in the moment…if it is not, well, that adds to hell on earth.”

Nicolas reportedly just began filming on The Retirement Plan with Ashley Greene when his mother passed.

Our thoughts are with Joy‘s loved ones at this difficult time. We have sadly lost all of these stars in 2021.

A National Treasure TV series is heading to Disney+!

Deadline reports that a TV series based on the 2004 film has been green-lighted for a 10-episode order for Disney+.

Original producer Jerry Bruckheimer and writers Marianne and Cormac Wibberly will helm the project, which is a reimagining of the franchise. Mira Nair is set to direct the show.

According the the report, “the series explores the timely issues of identity, community, historical authorship and patriotism, told from the point of view of Jess Morales, a twenty-year-old DREAMer who, with her diverse group of friends, sets off on the adventure of a lifetime to uncover her mysterious family history and recover lost treasure.”

A third movie in the franchise is also in the works, with the original stars set to reprise their roles.

Nicolas Cage is speaking out for the first time since news dropped that he got married for the fifth time.

The 57-year-old actor tied the knot with his 26-year-old girlfriend, Riko Shibata, last month during a “very small and intimate wedding” at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas.

Nicolas just released a statement to People, saying, “It’s true, and we are very happy.” Some wedding photos were also shared with the outlet.

The couple got married on February 16 and Cage‘s rep explained why the date is so special to him.

“The date was chosen to honor the birthday of the groom’s late father,” the rep said, adding that Cage wore a Tom Ford tuxedo. “The bride wore a handmade Japanese Bridal Kimono from Kyoto that required three layers.”

“After the wedding, the happy couple was joined for a small celebration attended by Nicolas‘ ex-wife, Alice (who he remains very good friends with) and their son Kal,” the rep added.

Back in March 2019, Nicolas was married to Erika Kookie for just four days after tying the knot in Las Vegas. His previous wives also include Patricia Arquette, Lisa Marie Presley, and Alice Kim.

Nicolas Cage is a husband again!

The 56-year-old National Treasure actor married girlfriend Riko Shibata on Tuesday, February 16, at the Wynn Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas, The Daily Mail confirms.

In their official marriage license, it was revealed that Riko will be taking Nic‘s last name. This is her first marriage.

Nic and Riko first applied for a marriage license back on January 10, which was Riko‘s 26th birthday.

This is the fifth marriage for Nic. He was married to Patricia Arquette from 1995 to 2001, Lisa Marie Presley from 2002 to 2004, Alice Kim from 2004 to 2016, and to Erika Koike for less than four days in 2019.

Nic and Riko, 26, were first spotted together arriving in New York City after a flight from Atlanta.

In early 2020, the two were spotted stepping out on a walk together in NYC.

Nicolas Cage is starring in an upcoming movie called Willy’s Wonderland and it follows his battle with some evil animatronics!

The movie is launching in theaters, on digital, and on demand on February 12.

Here is the synopsis: A quiet loner (Cage) finds himself stranded in a remote town when his car breaks down. Unable to pay for the repairs he needs, he agrees to spend the night cleaning Willy’s Wonderland, an abandoned family fun center. But this wonderland has a dark secret that the “The Janitor” is about to discover. He soon finds himself trapped inside Willy’s and locked in an epic battle with the possessed animatronic mascots that roam the halls. To survive, he must fight his way through each of them.
