Niecy Nash is looking back on her wedding!

During her interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday (April 6), the 51-year-old Claws actress shared her famous friends reactions to her marriage to Jessica Betts. The two got married in August 2020.

“Well, all of my friends had a supportive reaction,” Niecy explained. “Because they want, more than anything, for me to be happy.”

Niecy specifically gave a shout-out to three friends – “Sherri Shepherd, Ava DuVernay, and the Big O, Oprah Winfrey!”

Andy and fellow guest Leslie Jordan then asked Niecy if she received a wedding gift from Oprah.

“Did I? Of course I did!” Niecy said with a laugh. “I got one of her favorite things! Which is this beautiful cashmere blanket.”

“But it’s, like, jumbo,” she continued. “So we wrap up in it in the movie room all the time!”

In another recent interview, Niecy revealed that she had never been with a woman before she began her relationship with Jessica.

Niecy Nash is appearing on Facebook Watch’s Red Table Talk and she’s speaking out about her marriage to Jessica Betts after previously being married to two men.

Prior to her marriage announcement in August of 2020, Niecy had never addressed her sexuality.

The 51-year-old comedian and actress revealed she had “never been with a woman before” her relationship with Jessica.

Niecy filed for divorce from her husband Jay Tucker back in December 2019 after announcing their split in October. She was also previously married to Don Nash from 1994–2007.

She also revealed the reactions her three kids, Dia, 21, Donielle, 25, and son Dominic, 28, had.

“My daughters were like, ‘Wait what?’ ” she said. “My youngest daughter, she reminded me, she was like, ‘Wait a minute mom, are you the same mom that was like girl, I’m strictly dickly?’ And I was like, ‘Wah, wah. Like yeah, but no.’ And my son was like, ‘Wooow.’”

“A lot of people say that, like, ‘Oh, you came out!’ and I say, ‘Well, from out of where?’ You know what I mean?” she continued. “I wasn’t anywhere to come out of. I wasn’t living a sexually repressed life when I was married to men, I just loved them when I loved them. And now I love her.”

“[My marriage] has absolutely nothing to do with gender and it has everything to do with her soul,” she added. “She is the most beautiful soul I have ever met in my life.”

The 51-year-old Claws actress stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about her relationship with wife Jessica, while telling the host she calls Jessica her “hersband.”

While talking to Ellen, Niecy joked that she “broke the internet” when she announced that she had married a woman last year, but says that she doesn’t look at the revelation as a coming out.

“A lot of people say that, like, ‘Oh, you came out!’ and I say, ‘Well, from out of where?’ You know what I mean?” Niecy said of her sexuality. “I wasn’t anywhere to come out of. I wasn’t living a sexually repressed life when I was married to men, I just loved them when I loved them. And now I love her.”

Niecy and Jessica tied the knot back in August 2020. This is the third marriage for Niecy, who was previously married to Jay Tucker from 2011 to 2020 and Don Nash from 1994 to 2007.

Also during her interview, Niecy shared how she and Jessica were friends for years before they got romantically involved.

“We were probably friends for about four and a half years,” Niecy explained. “I was already divorced and we were still friends, and we went to go eat crabs.”

“Ah, that’s it. That’s the gay thing,” Ellen joked, before Niecy teased, “It’s a gateway people. If you don’t want this life, don’t go eat crabs.”

“Do not go to eat crabs with your friend,” Ellen responded. “That’s what will do it.”

The Masked Singer is finally back!

The hit Fox celebrity singing competition returns tonight (March 10) with an all-new season full of masked singers, as guest judges Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy and Robin Thicke take turns guessing who’s behind the mask.

Nick Cannon and Niecy Nash are on hosting duty for the season.

The season will kick off with two groups of five: Group A and Group B, and will introduce an all-new “wild card” twist, which will find mystery contestants entering the competition throughout the season for a chance to unseat another contestant.

The contestants have a combined “26 Grammy nominations, nine multi-platinum singles, four Oscar nominations, three Super Bowl appearances, six gold medals and two world records among them.”

Niecy Nash is stepping in for Nick Cannon on The Masked Singer.

The 40-year-old host of the reality competition show on Fox has tested positive for coronavirus, Variety reports of the reason behind the change in the upcoming fifth season.

The site says that Nick will be absent “in at least the first few episodes” and is currently in quarantine and resting.

Season four of the series just wrapped up and crowned LeAnn Rimes, who was masked as The Sun, as the winner. Aloe Blacc and Nick Carter placed second and third.

The upcoming season five is filming now and is on par to premiere in March.

Niecy will join returning judges Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke on the show.

Niecy Nash has landed a new daytime talk show!

The 50-year-old Reno 911! and Claws actress has a new talk show in the works with CBS Television Distribution, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

CBS Television Distribution is also the studio behind The Drew Barrymore Show, which premiered back in September.

Presentation of Niecy‘s show is set to be filmed in the near future.

Niecy hosted Style Network’s home makeover show Clean House from 2003 to 2010, which earned her a Daytime Emmy award in 2010. She has also guest hosted Today and Access Hollywood Live.

Earlier this month, Niecy starred in new wife Jessica Betts‘ music video for “Catch Me.”

Shortly after getting married to Jessica back in August, Niecy explained why she doesn’t consider her wedding to be a “coming out.”

The video also includes the newlyweds reciting their wedding vows, after tying the knot back in August.
