Aaron Paul keeps it cool and casual as he hits the carpet at his PaleyLive NY panel for his Apple TV+ series Truth be Told held at The Paley Center For Media NY on Thursday (December 12) in New York City.

The 40-year-old actor was joined at the event by his co-star and executive producer Octavia Spencer, showrunner Nichelle D. Tramble and moderator, The View‘s Sunny Hostin.

The series follows a true-crime podcaster (Spencer) who tries to solve the mystery surrounding a family patriarch’s death when new evidence arises that suggests her original suspect (Paul) may have been wrongfully convicted.

During the panel, Aaron and Octavia revealed that showrunner Tramble kept a lot of details hidden from the cast members. The last five pages of the script were blacked out so they wouldn’t know the ending.

Octavia said it was “freeing and much more fun” this way. “At the very beginning I asked ‘So did he do it?’,” Aaron added, claiming that Tramble answered, “I’m not telling you.”

“I asked every writer,” Aaron concluded (via CheatSheet).

Octavia Spencer makes an appearance on the The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing Thursday (December 12), and confesses she’s a re-gifter during the Holiday season.

Host Ellen asks the Academy Award-winning actress if she’s a good gift-giver, and she admits, “I actually re-gift.”

“People try to figure me out so I like candles and I like iTunes. It’s not that hard guys!,” Octavia tells Ellen. “No more self-help books because I’m starting to get a little anxious.”

Octavia also shares she recently wrapped her upcoming movie with Melissa McCarthy, Thunder Force, where she plays a superhero with the power to become invisible.

The executive producers hit the red carpet for the premiere of the Apple TV+’s series on Monday night (November 11) at AMPAS Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, Calif.

They were also joined by the cast of the show including Michael Beach, Aaron Paul, Elizabeth Perkins, Ron Cephas Jones, Mekhi Phifer, Ray Stoney, Lyndon Smith, Tracie Thoms, Ashley Romans and Lizzy Caplan.

Truth Be Told premieres on December 6th.

Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer are hard at work on their upcoming movie Thunder Forces!

The co-stars and off-screen besties filmed a fight scene with co-star Pom Klementieff in a warehouse on Friday (October 18) in Atlanta, Georgia.

As of right now, details for the movie are being kept under wraps, but it has been reported that it follows Melissa and Octavia getting superpowers.

Melissa‘s husband Ben Falcone is directing the Thunder Force, which is headed to Netflix.

Naomi Watts and Octavia Spencer are all smiles as they arrive at the premiere of Luce on Wednesday night (July 24) at the Whitby Hotel in New York City.

The ladies were joined by fellow co-star Marsha Stephanie Blake as they stepped out to promote their new psychological thriller.

The film follows Luce (Kelvin Harrison Jr.) – a star athlete and top high school student – after his idealized image is challenged by one of his teachers when his unsettling views on political violence come to light, putting a strain on family bonds while igniting intense debates on race and identity.

Octavia Spencer paid a visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night (July 23) and opened up being “uncomfortable” with her role in her new film, Luce.

“Quite uncomfortable,” the Oscar-winning actress told Jimmy. “It’s a psychological thriller that deals with power and privilege. My character doesn’t realize that she also has privileges because she’s the educator. As a viewer you become an active participant in the film because you have to decide which character you believe.”

“I was unnerved by some of the things happening in the film,” Octavia continued. “I had to cast myself in the role that Naomi [Watts] plays and think in terms of her perspective, in terms of Luce (Kelvin Harrison Jr.)’s perspective, in terms of Harriet’s perspective, it’s scary – when you see the film, you’ll understand.”

Octavia Spencer also talked about picking up an accent while filming The Witches in London, her first impression of Stonehenge, and getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame along with Julia Roberts and Spike Lee.
