In the Julius Onah-directed psychological thriller, a married couple (Watts and Roth) is forced to reckon with their idealized image of their son (Harrison Jr.) , adopted from war-torn Eritrea, after an alarming discovery by a devoted high school teacher (Spencer) threatens his status as an all-star student.

Octavia Spencer‘s new movie Ma is in theaters now and it’s one of those films that you’ll want to experience with a group of friends.

The horror flick will take you on a ride that will leave you on the edge of your seat – and it’s filled with both laughs and scares.

Some crazy things happen at the end of the movie and we’re unpacking everything that went down.

Octavia plays a lonely woman named Sue Ann who befriends a group of teenagers looking for someone to buy them alcohol. She offers the kids the chance to avoid drinking and driving by hanging out in the basement of her home. But as Ma’s hospitality starts to curdle into obsession, what began as a teenage dream turns into a terrorizing nightmare, and Ma’s place goes from the best place in town to the worst place on earth.

The new Octavia Spencer horror movie Ma is in theaters now and you might be wondering if you should stick around after the credits for an additional scene.

We can confirm that there is nothing after the credits, so feel free to leave after the movie is over!

Despite all of the competition at the box office this weekend, Ma is still expected to have a strong opening weekend.

Movie experts have predicted that Ma is going to earn around $15-$20 million this weekend, a pretty great amount for a movie with a $5 million budget!

The trailer for the upcoming Disney and Pixar movie Onward has been released!

The film features the voices of Chris Pratt and Tom Holland as two teenage elf brothers who embark on an extraordinary quest to discover if there is still a little magic left out there.

The all-new original feature film’s voice cast also includes Emmy winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Oscar winner Octavia Spencer.

Onward will hit theaters March 6, 2020. While that’s a long time from now, you can watch the trailer over and over until then!

Octavia Spencer walks the red carpet at the premiere of her new movie Ma on Thursday night (May 16) at the Regal LA Live in downtown Los Angeles.

The Oscar-winning actress was joined at the event by her co-stars Allison Janney, Juliette Lewis, Diana Silvers, Corey Fogelmanis, McKaley Miller, Kyanna Simone Simpson, Gianni Paolo, Dante Brown, and Tanyell Waivers.

Director Tate Taylor was there as well. He previously worked with Octavia and Allison on The Help!

“@csiriano thanks for this amazing look that only you can do so effortlessly. #MaMovie,” Octavia wrote on her Instagram account.

FYI: Octavia is wearing a Christian Siriano outfit. Allison is wearing an Antonio Berardi dress and Hearts On Fire earrings.

Octavia Spencer makes an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing on Tuesday (May 14), and talks about playing a villain in her brand new horror film Ma!

“I love crazy, it is wonderfully fun playing crazy,” the 46-year-old Oscar-winning actress tells Ellen.

Octavia also talks about filming The Witches in London, how she’s attracted to men with British accents, and being spotted backstage during Beyoncé‘s Netflix film Homecoming.

“I’m really close to her mom and stepdad,” Octavia says. “And we were guests of theirs for Coachella. And after the concert it was like this big outdoor barbecue, expect that everybody was famous.”

“It’s on my bucket list to just go hang out with her for a couple days and learn some dance moves and just do ‘em for the rest of my life,” Octavia adds.

Mark Wahlberg holds an umbrella over him and friend Octavia Spencer while attending the VIP launch party for Wahlburgers‘ Covent Garden location on Saturday (May 4) in London, England.

Wahlburgers is Mark and his brothers’ burger restaurant chain. They have locations all over the world now!

Mark and Octavia became great friends while working on the movie Instant Family. He posted a cute video on Instagram of them together at the event.

“Great seeing @octaviaspencer and @jahzirbruno at the @wahlburgers UK party tonight! 🍔🍟💚,” Mark captioned the clip seen below.
