Chris Hemsworth Meets Brad Pitt, Gets Starstruck

Chris Hemsworth met one of his favorite actors, Brad Pitt, last year at the L.A. premiere of Once Upon a Time In Hollywood and now he’s recounting the momentous occasion.

“He went to do a handshake and I went for the hug, he was fine with it,” the 36-year-old Aussie actor shared with People about the semi-awkward but sweet encounter. “I didn’t get attacked by security team or anything. It was fantastic. He was as wonderful and pleasant as I’d hoped and imagined.”

The meet-up happened on Monday, July 22, 2019 in Hollywood, where Chris brought along his wife Elsa Pataky and older brother Luke Hemsworth. Brad spiffied up in a suit alongside co-star Leonardo DiCaprio to celebrate the Quentin Tarantino-directed film.

It Was Brad Pitt's Idea to Remove His Shirt Like That in 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood'

Brad Pitt‘s shirtless scene in the Oscar-winning movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is definitely one of the most memorable moments in the film for some fans.

Now, director Quentin Tarantino is opening up about how that scene came to be!

Originally, Quentin wanted Brad to unbutton his Hawaiian shirt and then peel off his undershirt, but it was Brad‘s choice to take them both off at the same time.

“You know, so it’s like uh, um, I go, ‘Okay, so I’m thinking maybe like, you know, okay, you unbutton, you unbutton the Hawaiian shirt, and peel that off’,” Quentin said on the 3 Girls, 1 Keith podcast. “And then peel off the champion t-shirt.” And he’s like, ‘Really? Want me to through all that button bullshit? I just, I just take it off in one big go.’”
