Patrick Dempsey Will Sing For The First Time in 'Enchanted' Sequel

Patrick Dempsey is ready to show off his vocal chops!

The 55-year-old actor has revealed that for the very first time, he’ll be singing in the upcoming sequel to Enchanted, Disenchanted.

“I will be singing for the first time. I’ve never ever sung publicly — for a reason,” he told Variety in a new interview. “So bear with me.”

Patrick added that he hopes “fans embrace it. But they’ve set me up for success and the lyrics are really fun. The numbers have really great choreography. And the premise is going to be interesting.”

However, those hoping that there will be a number with Idina Menzel, who is known for her amazing voice, Patrick has some bad news there: “I don’t sing with her.”

But, he does promise that there are “a lot of cool numbers in this.”

Alongside Patrick and Idina, Amy Adams and James Marsden are returning for the movie.

Patrick Dempsey's Congress Set Series 'Ways & Means' Reportedly Shut Down & Will Not Resume

Ways & Means, the political drama set to star Patrick Dempsey and Troian Bellisario, might not be moving forward, according to a report from Page Six.

The series centered on “a powerful congressional leader (Dempsey) who has lost faith in politics. He finds himself working secretly with an idealistic young congresswoman (Bellisario) from the opposing party to subvert the hopelessly gridlocked system he helped create. Together, they’ll attempt to save American politics — if they don’t get caught.”

The series was filming in New Jersey before a script supervisor tested positive for COVID-19 coronavirus.

It’s assumed that the CBS produced show might not be greenlit because of the time constraint, however a CBS studios spokesperson says that filming will resume after the quarantine period.

Stay tuned for more details on the situation.

'Grey's Anatomy' Boss Reveals If Patrick Dempsey Will Return This Season

Patrick Dempsey made a miraculous return to Grey’s Anatomy earlier this season, as Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) went into a comatose state on the show due to coronavirus.

The 54-year-old actor reappeared as Derek Shepherd in Meredith’s COVID dreams, after he perished in season 11 following a tragic car accident.

In a new interview with Variety, showrunner Krista Vernoff revealed again that Derek aka “McDreamy” will be seen “again in the back half of the season.”

Previously, she had stated that there were plans to have him in three more times throughout season 17.

Krista also addressed rumors that more of the original stars, like Eric Dane, Sara Ramirez and even Sandra Oh, would be returning this season with cameos.

“We all have hopes, but we don’t have anything new to report yet,” she shared, specifically about Eric‘s Mark Sloan.

For the other rumors, Krista added that the cast list featured on IMDb was “some glitch”, and most of them would not be appearing.

During the mid-season finale this week, viewers saw Meredith slip back into a comatose state following a COVID high she experienced that had her saving the life of a patient before she collapsed on the hospital floor.
