Patrick Schwarzenegger is taking on a new project.

The 27-year-old Moxie and Midnight Sun has signed on to join the star-studded cast of The Staircase at HBO Max, Deadline reports.

The upcoming series is based on the docu-series of the same name and follows the real case of Michael Peterson, who was accused of murdering his wife Kathleen in 2001.

Colin Firth is set to play Michael Peterson while Toni Collette will star as Kathleen. It was announced earlier this month that Sophie Turner had also joined the show and would be playing Margaret Ratliff, one of Michael Peterson’s adopted daughters.

The cast also includes Juliette Binoche, Rosemarie Dewitt, and Parker Posey.

Patrick Schwarzenegger is putting his physical and mental health first!

The 27-year-old Moxie and Midnight Sun actor took to his Instagram to reveal is dramatic physical transformation after trying a new 50-day regimen, which includes starting off his day at 5 am.

“✅50 days 5am ✅ Getting in the best shape of my life. Both physically & mentally. 1st photo 185 lbs 8% fat. 2nd was 6 months ago. 163 lbs 13%,” Patrick wrote. “We had 413 people finish the challenge. Pretty wild. Some of the results were amazing. Found a Sense of purpose. Increased energy. Better sleeping habits. Some Lost 15-30 lbs. People ate better throughout the day. More productive at work. Found time for extra activities.”

Patrick showed off his ripped physique, posing shirtless and baring his ripped abs during an outside workout.

“WHY 5am Challenge ? 1. starts your day with a form of ‘success’ & builds momentum for the rest of your day,” Patrick said about his regimen. “2. Shows your mind/body your capable of doing something you don’t want to 3. Allows you to form small morning rituals/habits that lead to big results over time.”

Patrick concluded, “I love creating goals/challenges because It gives your brain a literal GPS to a destination your seeking. The biggest mistake we make is thinking It will come overnight. Everything takes time. That’s why I made the challenge 50 days so people wouldn’t end after the first week…Be The Best You.”

Elijah Wood and Patrick Schwarzenegger got into a little debate over the upcoming Indiana Jones 5 movie.

On Friday (April 9), it was announced that Phoebe Waller-Bridge will be starring alongside Harrison Ford in the upcoming fifth installment of the franchise, which will be directed by James Mangold.

Shortly after the announcement was made, Patrick took to Twitter to react.

“I love Indiana Jones but just not sure about this,” Patrick tweeted. He then deleted it shortly afterwards.

Elijah then decided to clap back at Patrick‘s tweet.

“Not sure about what exactly? the mighty force of Phoebe Waller-Bridge? the brilliant James Mangold?” Elijah wrote.

Patrick then responded to Elijah, clarifying what he meant.

“Another film!” Patrick wrote. Elijah then responded back, tweeting, “haha. fair!” before adding “a chance for redemption is hopeful.”

Patrick Schwarzenegger walks side by side with longtime love Abby Champion on Thursday afternoon (April 1) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The longtime couple were on their way to grab some iced coffee together before kicking off their day.

In a recent interview with Men’s Health, Patrick opened up about his ambition to bulk up in 2021 and even has 50 pints of ice cream sitting in his fridge to help him out.

“I’m just trying to get more calories, more protein, and more complex carbs in my system,” he said. “I’m also trying to eat something before my workouts to have enough energy to get through the workout.”

Patrick recalled that “before, it was always an empty stomach and trying to use the fasting to burn off fat.”

Today, his meal plans feature peanut butter and jelly smoothies and beef jerky snacks throughout his day and his goal is to put on 25 pounds.

At the beginning of the year, he was at 162 pounds, and at the time of the article, he weighed in at 184 pounds.

The upcoming Amazon thriller series The Terminal List is going to be a family affair for Chris Pratt because his famous brother-in-law just landed a role in the show!

Deadline reports that Patrick Schwarzenegger has joined the cast of the series, which is based on the best-selling novel by Jack Carr.

The series “follows James Reece (Pratt) after his entire platoon of Navy SEALs is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. Reece returns home to his family with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability. However, as new evidence comes to light, Reece discovers dark forces working against him, endangering not only his life but the lives of those he loves.”

It is being reported that Patrick will have a recurring role on the series and he will play “Donny Mitchell. Fresh out of training, Special Warfare Operator 2nd Class Donny Mitchell is James Reece’s baby-faced youngest team member. While the other guys crack jokes as a way to cope with what they’ve seen, Donny’s feisty sense of humor is different… he’s only seen the brotherhood of the SEALs in times of strength, not yet in times of suffering. As the platoon’s point man, he is the first to lead the team into unsecured territory.”

Also starring in the upcoming series are Constance Wu, Riley Keough, Taylor Kitsch and Jeanne Tripplehorn. The series will be directed by Antoine Fuqua.

Patrick Schwarzenegger had an unexpected job!

The 27-year-old actor opened up on Jimmy Kimmel Live about his previously employment – and it included a day of being Paris Hilton‘s bodyguard.

His first gig was working at the Los Angeles mall The Grove in different capacities, including serving as a security guard once for Paris Hilton.

“I did everything there: valet, security, property walks, lease management tours. I have this really funny story of one time… I was a security guard for the week. Meanwhile, I have my own security guards for me because my dad was governor,” he explained.

“So I’m like a 15-year-old kid with an earpiece and a suit jacket and I show up for work, and they’re like, ‘Okay, you’re security for Paris Hilton today. She’s got her book tour, she’s coming to The Grove, she’s gonna be signing autographs.’ I’m like, ‘Okay, I know Paris, but okay,’” he continued.

“And so she gets out of the car [and] Paris has a security guard that used to work for my dad. I show up and I greet Paris and she’s like, ‘Patrick? Schwarzenegger? What are you doing?’ And I’m like, ‘I’m your security guard for the day!’ And that was it. It was a fun experience.”
