While promoting his new CBS All Access series, Star Trek: Picard, Patrick Stewart had a giant question for Whoopi Goldberg on The View.

The legendary actor, who stars as the title captain, formally asked Whoopi to return to the Star Trek universe by reprising her role as Guinan, the El-Aurian bar hostess.

“I’m here with a formal invitation, and it’s for you, Whoopi,” Patrick shared. “Alex Kurtzman, who is the senior executive producer of Star Trek: Picard, and all his colleagues, of which I am one, want to invite you into the second season.”

Obviously, she said yes!

“I’ve said this on the show before, but Star Trek was one of the great experiences, from the beginning to the end,” Whoopi added later on. “I had the best, best, best time ever.”

The group also discussed if Guinan would require Whoopi to go back to dark hair.

“She’s Guinan, and who knows what Guinan’s history really is,” Patrick said. “That could be one of the excitements down the road!”

Star Trek: Picard premieres Thursday, January 23rd.

Patrick Stewart is opening up about reprising his famous role.

The Star Trek actor made an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night (January 21).

During his appearance, Patrick spoke about taking on his role once again in the CBS All Access series. He also explained that he was a big advocate for pitbull terriers, and requested specifically that Picard’s dog was a pitbull.

The 80-year-old Cats actor supported the 79-year-old actor at the premiere of Star Trek: Picard on Wednesday night (January 15) at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London, England.

While they were on the carpet, Ian and Patrick shared a sweet kiss for the cameras!

Also in attendance at the London premiere was Patrick‘s wife Sunny Ozell.

The night before, Patrick and his co-stars premiered the new series in Hollywood.

The upcoming 10-episode series follows Jean-Luc Picard (Stewart) as he moves into the next chapter of his life. As he faced retirement, he finds a reason to return to space when he believes a young woman is in “serious danger.”

Patrick Stewart is joined by wife Sunny Ozell at the Star Trek: Picard premiere on Monday (January 13) at the ArcLight Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, Calif.

It was a big day for Sir Patrick Stewart!

The 79-year-old Star Trek: Picard star was honored with a hand & footprint ceremony on Monday (January 13) outside of TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX in Hollywood, Calif.

“I’m still not really believing any of it,” Patrick joked at the ceremony, according to CBS LA. “Any moment now somebody will say, ‘Patrick, Patrick, get up, you’re dreaming again.’”

Supporting Patrick at the event was his wife Sunny Ozell.
