Prince Albert of Monaco Criticizes Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's Tell-All Interview

Prince Albert of Monaco is sharing his thoughts on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Prince Albert said he found the couple’s “public display of dissatisfaction” inappropriate during an interview with BBC World News on Thursday (March 25), per People.

He explained that while he can “understand the pressure that they were under,” he believed that “these types of conversations should be held within the intimate quarters of the family” and “it doesn’t really have to be laid out in the public sphere like that.”

During their interview, Meghan and Harry revealed that a member of the royal family had made a comment about their son Archie‘s skin tone before he was born and that Meghan experienced suicidal thoughts due to bullying from the media and lack of support from Buckingham Palace.

The Palace released a statement about the interview where they addressed Meghan‘s claims.

Princess Charlene of Monaco Kicks Off 24 Hour Water Bike Challenge

Princess Charlene of Monaco gets a sweet hug from husband Prince Albert at the start of The Crossing Calvi Monaco Water Bike Challenge event on Saturday (September 12) in Calvi, France.

The 42-year-old royal and former Olympic swimmer joined her brother, Gareth Wittstock, as they kicked off the race with their two competing teams.

The teams, in relay style, will take turns cycling over a distance of 180 km from Calvi to Monaco for almost 24 hours.

At the departure event, Charlene got support from Albert, and their twin children, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella.

“Navigating the ocean at night is no easy task. One feels so small and insignificant when facing this watery giant,” Charlene shared in a statement about the race, which will raise funds for The Princess Charlene Foundation, that raises awareness about water safety, and also teaches people to swim and about ocean hygiene.

Foundation Director Chantell Wittstock, who is Charlene‘s sister-in-law, also spoke about how the Princess trained for the event.

“The Princess continues to prepare for the Water Bike Challenge while holidaying with her family, including her children, in Calvi for the summer,” Chantell said in a statement. “The Princess trains daily in the vast, open ocean. The dedication shown by the Princess in training for the Water Bike Challenge is definitely a trait of a true Olympian.”

Prince Albert Denies Being the One Who Gave Prince Charles Coronavirus

Prince Albert II and Prince Charles both attended WaterAid’s Water and Climate event in London, England on March 10, and days later, both contracted COVID-19 aka Coronavirus.

On Thursday (March 19), Prince Albert revealed he had been diagnosed with Coronavirus. On Wednesday (March 25), Prince Charles revealed he had contracted the contagious virus as well.

Many thought, perhaps it was Prince Albert who caused Prince Charles to fall ill (though his symptoms are being described as mild.)

“I was at a roundtable for his foundation, but we never shook hands,” Prince Albert said on RTL. “I was at the other end of the table, way far away.”

“We nodded hello to one another, so I don’t think I can really be accused of contaminating him. There were a lot of other people around at the congress center, and I know he continued his schedule afterwards for a number of days. [He] had a number of other opportunities to catch it,” Prince Albert continued.

Prince Albert II of Monaco Tests Positive for Coronavirus

Prince Albert II of Monaco has officially been diagnosed with Coronavirus.

The 62-year-old royal “is not worrying at all” about the diagnosis. He is being treated at Princess Grace Hospital and is going to be working from his home office. The statement added he is in contact with members of his government.

“His Serene Highness urges the people of Monaco to respect the measures of confinement and to limit contact with others to a minimum,” the statement read. “Only the strict observance of these confinement measures will make it possible to stop the spread of the coronavirus.”

Prince Albert is the second royal to be diagnosed with Coronavirus as the pandemic spreads across the world.
