The family visited the Isles of Scilly, just off the south west tip of England, this week – a throwback to William‘s childhood back in 1989 when he and brother Prince Harry visited the islands with their parents, Princess Diana and Prince Charles.

The family chose to stay within the United Kingdom amid the global health crisis, and the growing challenge of foreign travel.

The family’s vacation was revealed when they were spotted by tourists while out on a bike ride on the isle of Tresco on Thursday (July 30).

William and Kate were riding their bicycles, having a laugh. They looked so happy enjoying the weather. I did do a double take. They were really friendly and said hello,” said a vacationer.

Throughout the pandemic, George‘s parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, have been sharing little anecdotes about his time away from school along with sister Princess Charlotte and even Prince Louis.

It was also revealed that since the family is staying at Amner Hall in Norfolk, England and George and Charlotte have been enjoying one particular past time, which is really a chore.

“Kate and the children are out daily in the hen house,” a source revealed of the activity. “They collect fresh eggs in their baskets, and the eggs are then used in the kitchen almost immediately.”

The insider added, “Kate and the children have a well laid out chicken coop, and a safe fox-proof chicken house, filled with healthy food and feeding treats.”

George and Charlotte also help to tend to a garden, growing lettuces, small cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes.

Prince George's Godmother Buys Him Noisy Toys In An Ongoing Tradition That Started With His Grandmother, Princess Diana

Prince George is part of a silly and fun family tradition that was revealed by one of his seven godparents, Julia Samuels.

Julia, who was one of Princess Diana‘s closest friends, opened up about her relationship with the young royal, who is almost 7, and opened up about an ongoing joke that started with Diana, tragically died in 1997.

“I come in slightly tipped by the size of the present that William then has to spend days putting together, and then put all the machinery together and it makes awful tooting noises and lights flashing and all of that,” Julia shared during an interview on the How To Fail With Elizabeth Day podcast.

She adds, “That makes me laugh and it makes George laugh.”

Julia shared that Diana was the one who started the tradition by giving Julia‘s own children noisy toys.

“I do to George what she did to us which is give impossible toys which are really noisy, take a lot of making,” she shared.
