Prince George & Princess Charlotte's School Is Closed & They Will Do 'Remote Learning'

Prince George and Princess Charlotte both attend the same school in London, England, and due to the Coronavirus pandemic, they will not be attending.

The school is switching over to “remote learning” this week and next week as the pandemic heightens in the area, People reports.

“Due to the increasing numbers of children and staff being absent from school due to the Coronavirus situation, Thomas’s London Day Schools have decided to move to remote learning from Friday 20 March,” the school said in a statement. “From this date the curriculum will be taught through online learning platforms and we have asked parents to keep their children at home and to access their lessons through this system. This will ensure that children have continuity of learning when they are unable to attend school.”

Kate Middleton Reveals How She Really Felt About Debuting Prince George 1 Day After Giving Birth

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton) made an appearance on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, hosted by bestselling author Giovanna Fletcher, and she dished on the famous moment where she debuted Prince George to the world on the steps of the London hospital just one day after his birth in July of 2013.

“Yeah, slightly terrifying, slightly terrifying, I’m not going to lie,” Kate said about debuting her newborn baby boy Prince George on July 23, 2013. Prince George‘s birthday is July 22.

“Everyone had been so supportive and both William and I were really conscious that this was something that everyone was excited about and, you know, we’re hugely grateful for the support that the public had shown us, and actually for us to be able to share that joy and appreciation with the public, I felt was really important,” the Duchess continued.

However, there were “mixed emotions,” adding, “But equally it was coupled with a newborn baby, and inexperienced parents, and the uncertainty of what that held, so there were all sorts of mixed emotions.”

About meeting her son for the first time, she said, “Amazing, amazing. It is extraordinary as I’ve said. How can the human body do that? It is utterly extraordinary actually. And he was very sweet. And I was also sort of relieved that he was a happy, healthy boy.”

She also revealed that the couple did not know Prince George‘s sex before he was born.

“I didn’t know, no it was a surprise. But also seeing… you know your husband, William, and things like that. Seeing the pure joy of his face it was really special,” she said.

“Everything goes in a bit of a blur. I think, yeah I did stay in hospital overnight, I remember it was one of the hottest days and night with huge thunderstorms so I didn’t get a huge amount of sleep, but George did, which was really great,” she added. “I was keen to get home because, for me, being in hospital, I had all the memories of being in hospital because of being sick [with acute morning sickness] so it wasn’t a place I wanted to hang around in. So, I was really desperate to get home and get back to normality.”

If you don’t know, the Duchess’ brother and sister-in-law, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, decided to do things a little differently when they debuted their first born, baby Archie.

Royal Expert Speaks to Report That Baby Archie Has Only Met Royal Cousins 'a Handful of Times'

A royal expert is speaking to the rumor that baby Archie, the son of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, has only met Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis two times.

“Well, look, we know there have clearly been a lot of family tensions, rifts, fallouts behind the scenes,” royal expert Katie Nicholl told ET. “I think throughout all of this, Kate has tried very much to be the peacemaker. Remember that she and Harry were at one point incredibly close. She, Harry, and William were a very special trio and I think she’s very keen to try and see that rift closed up. And at some point down the future, there will be a closeness between the four of them, if not for themselves, for the royal cousins because it’s emerged that … the Cambridge children have actually only met Archie a handful of times. I suppose that’s down to the Sussexes being in Windsor, the Cambridges being in London.”

We know the first meeting between the royal cousins happened back in July of 2019, two months after Archie‘s birth.

Prince George Makes a Rare Royal Wardrobe Choice on Christmas!

Prince George looked adorable accompanying his family to church services on Christmas Day on Wednesday (December 25) – and he wore something that you might not have realized was uncommon for the little royal!

The 6-year-old royal wore long pants on his trek to church, as opposed to his signature shorts and knee socks.

This is surprisingly only the second time Prince George has worn long pants in public – the first being the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle royal wedding – but there’s a customary reason!

“It is considered very suburban for a little boy to be in long trousers when he is just a little boy,” Majesty magazine Ingrid Seward previously told People.

“It is shorts until you’re 8 and then, woo, you’re in long trousers. They suddenly feel very grown up.”

Four Generations of the Royal Family Gathered to Make Christmas Pudding!

Prince George is joined by his dad Prince William, grandfather Prince Charles, and great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth while preparing Christmas pudding together.

Four generations of the royal family gathered as part of the launch of The Royal British Legion’s Together at Christmas initiative. They made the Christmas treat in the Music Room at Buckingham Palace in London, England.

The Palace announced, “The initiative is designed to provide extra support to the Armed Forces and veteran communities at annual festive ‘get togethers’ across the charity’s network of outreach centers. The four generations of the Royal Family represent a cross-section of those supported by the Legion, from the children of service personnel, to Second World War veterans.”

Royal Family's Christmas Day Meal Has Included a 'Corgi' Menu!

The Royal Family makes sure to take good care of all of its Christmas Day guests – including the four-legged ones!

Darren McGrady, one of Queen Elizabeth II’s former chefs, opened up about the family’s holiday meal traditions at Sandringham (the queen’s palace in Norfolk, England) in a recent interview with Yahoo Style UK.

Darren called the feast “a military operation” requiring “months of planning.” The British army has even loaded the equipment and food onto army trucks for the big day.

“I remember the fruit and vegetable supplier: he would have six or 10 cases of pears and we would look them and chose the 12 we wanted,” Darren said. “I thought, ‘this is what it’s all about, using the best ingredients.’”

Christmas Day means “so much food” after church. Food items have included two dozen turkeys (about 30 pounds each), roast potatoes, boar’s head, foie gras, and Christmas puddings.

The children – like Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – eat “smaller,” less seasoned portions separately in the nursery, though it’s “pretty much” the same menu.

The dogs even have even gotten their own special treats, called “the royal corgi’s menu!”

“We had to feed the corgis too,” Darren McGrady said.

This year, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Markle will reportedly have their own “small Christmas with just immediate family.”
