Princess Beatrice is opening up about her new role – as a stepmom!

The 32-year-old royal got candid about spending quality time with her stopson after getting married to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in an interview with the Evening Standard in honor of World Book Day.

In the interview, she spoke about how books have provided a special time for her and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi‘s 5-year-old son, Christopher Woolf, known as “Wolfie.”

“This year, I had the great honour to become a stepmother, and have had the most remarkable time going back over some of my most favourite stories at bedtime. Together, we had such a special time reading through all the entries for Oscars Book Prize 2020,” she said.

“My stepson has been, as many children have, home schooling this term. Helping him to engage with stories is a great journey to inspire imagination, creativity, independence and humour. If you have not yet read the Oi Frog books by Kes Grey and Jim Field, they have fast become our favourite.”

The married royals were reportedly dining out at the eatery Isabel with four other people, all from different households.

One of the guests was Roberto Cavalli designer Peter Dundas, who actually posted a photo of them together on social media. In the photo, they are masked but they are nowhere near six feet apart.

Their rep has responded to the backlash, saying that this was not a dinner for enjoyment but rather, a work event, which is reportedly allowed under the rules.

“This was a midweek Wednesday evening, work-related, business development dinner, it was held in compliance with all government guidelines, the dinner was held in the early evening and all parties left in good time before the government curfew,” their spokesperson told the Mirror. “Strict masks were worn in line with the government advice.”

Princess Beatrice‘s name was in the headlines just a few weeks ago when a story was finally confirmed about her viral interaction with Ed Sheeran.

Princess Beatrice has shared a big thank you message to all her royal fans.

The 32-year-old Princess of York just returned to her official Twitter account for the first time in over a year where she shared her thanks to fans about all the messages regarding her marriage to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

“Thank you to everyone who has sent in and tweeted their best wishes for our special day in July. Edo and I are so excited to embark on this new chapter together ❤️,” she wrote, adding a red heart of appreciation.

Beatrice didn’t stop there, though, and continued on, expressing more thanks to her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

“It was an honour to wear my grandmother’s beautiful dress on my wedding day, I hope many of you are able to visit the exhibition which is still open at Windsor Castle,” she shared.

Beatrice and Edo were wed in an intimate ceremony in July, and the guests included her grandparents, the Queen and Prince Philip, and her parents, Prince Andrew of York and Sarah, Duchess of York.

Back in 2016, a story went rampant suggesting that Princess Beatrice accidentally cut Ed Sheeran‘s face with a sword during a dinner party.

Well, it seems as if that rumor is true!? Here’s what apparently happened…

“Ed had been invited to dinner as a guest of Princess Beatrice. They all sat down and there were 20 or so guests, including Sarah Ferguson, James Blunt and his wife Sofia Wellesley. As the night wore on they started talking about honours and apparently James Blunt joked that he would love a knighthood,” a source told The Sun in 2016. “Beatrice jokingly said she could arrange it and fetched a ceremonial sword.“Beatrice, who was in great form, held the sword above him and said ‘arise Sir James’, just like her nan would at the Palace. But she must have misjudged the weight or something and, instead of lightly tapping him on the shoulder, she swung it back, not knowing Ed was standing right behind her. The blade cut into his face and it was just a few inches from his right eye.”

Well, Ed‘s manager Stuart Camp spoke out in a new interview and confirmed the rumor…and seemed to call Princess Beatrice a “f**cking idiot.”

Princess Beatrice visits her wedding dress on display at Windsor Castle on Wednesday (September 23, 2020) in Windsor, England.

Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi married on July 18 of this year after being forced to cancel their big day, which was originally planned for May of 2020. The couple postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic and got married when it was safer to do so with lower numbers of people.

The dress originally belonged to Queen Elizabeth and the Princess requested to wear it on her big day. It’s a 1960s-era dress by Norman Hartnell.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie step out together for a night out at Annabel’s on Tuesday (September 22) in London, England.

The royal sisters both wore face masks for the outing and left in the same car afterwards. If you don’t know, Annabel’s is a private club that is often frequented by celebrities!

The 60-year-old Duchess of York opened up in an Instagram post on Tuesday (July 21) about her daughter Princess Beatrice‘s secret wedding on Friday (July 17) at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge in Windsor, England.
