Rachel Weisz has a new movie in the works!

The 49-year-old The Favourite actress will be starring in the upcoming movie Lanny, adapted from author Max Porter‘s upcoming novel of the same name which is follow up to his first novel, Grief Is a Thing With Feathers.

The story follows “Lanny, who moves his family to a commuter village close to London that is filled with mysterious characters and myths that tap into English folklore,” Variety reports.

Rachel will also be producing the film alongside The Bureau‘s Tristan Goligher.

Rachel Weisz looked radiant in red at the 2019 Academy Awards!

The 48-year-old actress showed off her chic dress on the red carpet at the award ceremony on Sunday evening (February 24) at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

During the award ceremony, Rachel is up for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Favourite.

The film is also nominated for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay.

The Oscars are being presented without a host for the first time in 30 years. The show kicks off at 8pm EST/5pm PST on ABC.

Rachel Weisz was a winner at the 2019 BAFTAs over the weekend, but something that she did on the red carpet before the show went viral!

The 48-year-old The Favourite actress met a young woman named Grace on the carpet who asked her to show her support for gay rights in a video.

At first, Rachel didn’t know what was going on and said no, but then she went back over to Grace and realized what the video was for.

Rachel then says “gay rights” and gives the girl a hug. Watch below!

Rachel Weisz and Olivia Colman won big this evening!

The two actresses and The Favourite co-stars posed with their trophies at the 2019 EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday (February 10) at Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

Olivia won for Best Actress and Rachel won for Best Supporting Actress. Congrats to both the stars!

The ladies are both nominated for their work in the movie The Favourite, which has already won the award for Outstanding British Film.

Rachel is nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role along with co-star Emma Stone while Olivia is up for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

Glenn Close sparkles on the black carpet as she steps out Charles Finch & Chanel pre-BAFTA’s Dinner on Saturday night (February 9) at Loulou’s in London, England.

The 71-year-old actress was joined at the event by her The Wife co-star Jonathan Pryce after they both stepped out for Nespresso British Academy Film Awards Nominees Party earlier in the day.
