Hit Songs That the Artists Now Regret

Over time, plenty of different pop stars and singer-songwriters have spoken out following the smash success of their songs to reveal that, for one reason or another, they feel awkward, embarrassed or even ashamed about certain songs.

In some cases, it comes down to the lyrical content. And in others, it’s all due to the song’s complete over-saturation of the market. Regardless, these stars have enough distance between the song’s release and now to reflect on the choices they made.

We’ve gathered together some of the biggest hits from the likes of everyone from Taylor Swift to Radiohead, and how the artists really feel about the songs. Some of these are bound to surprise you!

As previously reported, Lana said that Radiohead demanded 100% of the publishing for her song “Get Free” for sounding too much like their hit song “Creep,” which she was going to fight in court. Radiohead‘s spokespeople denied that they demanded 100% or issued a formal lawsuit, but did acknowledge that they wanted credit.

While Lana did not explicitly explain the results of the resolved dispute, she did say she’s now free to perform the song.

“I mean now that my lawsuit’s over, I guess I can sing that song any time I want, right?” she told the crowd during her performance.

Lana Del Rey Explains Why Radiohead Might Be Taking Her to Court

Lana Del Rey says she’s battling with Radiohead‘s lawyers over one song’s similarity.

The track in question, “Get Free,” is from Lana‘s latest studio album, 2017′s Lust For Life. Radiohead alleges that the song is too similar to their own hit, “Creep” – and they want 100% of the publishing, according to Lana.

“It’s true about the lawsuit. Although I know my song wasn’t inspired by Creep, Radiohead feel it was and want 100% of the publishing – I offered up to 40 over the last few months but they will only accept 100. Their lawyers have been relentless, so we will deal with it in court,” she wrote on Twitter on Sunday (January 7).

Interestingly, Radiohead faced similar legal issues with “Creep” upon its release. After the band admitted the song shared similarities with The Hollies‘ “The Air That I Breathe,” they agreed to settle a lawsuit out of court with the songwriters, Albert Hammond and Mike Hazlewood, and give them a percentage of the song’s publishing.

Radiohead Performs Through Technical Difficulties at Coachella 2017

Radiohead was hit with technical difficulties while headlining the first night of the 2017 Coachella Music Festival on Friday (April 14) at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif.

During the band’s third song of their set, “15 Step,” the sound cut out and the crowd couldn’t hear the last two minutes of the song.

The band, including frontman Thom Yorke, left the stage and came back to continue the show, but the same problem happened during the song “Let Down.” The band left the stage yet again and eventually returned to finish the show.

Just a couple weeks ago, Thom was seen going shirtless at the beach with his girlfriend in Miami!
