Paula Abdul is the guest judge on the latest episode of American Idol and she made a comment about former co-star Simon Cowell that completely shocked host Ryan Seacrest.

The moment happened when Ryan did a video call with fellow former judge Randy Jackson, who appeared on FaceTime via an iPad.

“I’m so excited to see Randy!” Paula said when she saw him on the iPad. He then said, “It feels like old times, right?”

Kelly Clarkson brought the American Idol season one group back together!

On her new show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Kelly brings on former judges Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, and Randy Jackson, as well as the runner up Justin Guarini!

Of course, Kelly went on to win season one of American Idol and it launched her successful career.

The OG American Idol reunion is happening!

Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson, the original judges on the first seasons of American Idol, will reunite on Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson‘s brand new talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, People confirmed on Wednesday (August 21).

“Just seeing how she’s done as an artist and now how she’s progressed on TV, not everyone’s like this by the way…she is the most loyal, nice person, I mean genuinely, she is how she is off-camera as she is on-camera. She doesn’t need to be told what to do, she knows exactly what she’s doing. And she’s a great person. She’s real, sweet, funny, a great girl. We’re lucky we found Kelly on the first season of Idol. I don’t think I would be standing here today,” Simon recently said at an America’s Got Talent taping on Tuesday (August 20).

This reunion will take place 17 years after Kelly won on the first-ever season of American Idol. Here’s what to expect on her new TV show!

Randy Jackson and estranged wife Erika are officially set to divorce after first filing papers four years ago.

The judge signed off on the dissolution of their marriage in December according to TMZ, and the two are set to be officially divorced on February 7.

Erika first filed for divorce in September of 2014 after 18 years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The couple had no prenup, and their divorce settlement has been kept private.

Randy and Erika have two adult children together.

Alec and Hilaria announced their upcoming fourth child back in November. They already have three children together: Carmen, 4, Rafael, 2, and Leonardo, 19 months.
