Daniel Day-Lewis and his wife Rebecca Miller kicked off their day with a stroll!

The 62-year-old retired actor and the 56-year-old filmmaker were spotted while out and about on Thursday (May 23) in the TribeCa neighborhood of New York City.

Daniel looked sharp in a polo and trousers for the rare outing since announcing his decision to quit acting.

He was last spotted enjoying some solo time in New York back in December.

The benefit celebrated the work of HBO Documentary Films and playwright Tony Kushner and the power of public school arts education, and included musical performances from children impacted by the Arthur Miller Foundation’s theater program.

The 57-year-old Still Alice star and the 48-year-old film director stepped out for the event held at the Celeste Bartos Theater at the Museum of Modern Art on Monday (March 12) in New York City.

Julianne donned an all-black ensemble, accessorizing with a maroon purse and brown shoes.

They were joined by Susan Sarandon, looking stylish in a floral leather jacket, black cap, and circular shades, along with Ellen Burstyn and Rebecca Miller.

Rebecca, who is married to Daniel Day-Lewis, directed the HBO documentary about her father, playwright Arthur Miller.

The 56-year-old three time Oscar-winning actor was one of the seven recipients of honorary degrees at the ceremony that afternoon.

Laura Linney, who received one of the degrees back in 2009, addressed the graduating class of 2013. Her Showtime series The Big C just wrapped up its final season earlier in the week.
