Reese Witherspoon is having a happy holiday with her family.

The 44-year-old Big Little Lies star shared a photo with her family, including husband Jim Toth, 21-year-old Ava, 17-year-old Deacon and 8-year-old Tennessee, on Thanksgiving on Thursday (November 26).

“Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours. ✨Feeling very grateful for all the frontline workers , medical workers and people who are caring for others today. And I’m deeply grateful for ALL of you! Sending my LOVE. 🥰🦃🍁🥧❤️,” she captioned the happy family photo.

When Mindy Kaling welcomed her first child, Katherine, she received a pretty amazing gift from her Wrinkle in Time co-star, Oprah Winfrey.

In 2018, while making an appearance on The Late Show, she revealed that Oprah had gifted Kit an ornate wooden bookcase in the shape of a castle, which was packed with children’s literature and each book inscribed with “Katherine’s Book Club.”

“It straight-up sucks compared to what Oprah gave me and I mean that with love,” Mindy told host Stephen Colbert about his own gift to her. “The bookcase was carved in the shape of an old-timey castle. It’s such a nice present! And yours was such a nice present.”

However, this time around with Mindy‘s second child, Reese Witherspoon is the top gifter.

According to her new interview with PopSugar, Reese sent over toys, and clothes, and food for days.

“I felt like the minute I got back from the hospital, there was a gorgeous gift for Spencer, with beautiful clothes and toys,” she shared. “And this is why you know a gift is from Reese Witherspoon — she also got my older kid something.”

Mindy adds, “My daughter, who didn’t do anything, got all these beautiful clothes and toys, too. And she sent us food, so we didn’t have to cook for four days. So, that’s to me just a very Reese Witherspoon-type present where it’s thoughtful but in a very macro way. Like, she really knows what’s going on in your life. That was impressive to me.”

Reese Witherspoon is opening up about whether she’d run for political office one day.

The 44-year-old actress and producer was a guest on the “SmartLess” podcast with Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes, and was asked about her possible political aspirations.

“I think you’d get a lot of the vote,” Jason told her.

“Yeah, I mean our standards have become very low in this country,” she joked, adding, “I wouldn’t say never, because I don’t know where I’m going to be when I’m, you know, 65.”

Reese did go on to talk about her concerns with representation in politics.

“I think we need better representation and balance. Women are 50 per cent of the population, but we’re not 50 per cent of the representation in government, which is bizarre, particularly when they’re adjudicating over our bodies,” she shared. “And the lack of representation of people of color, who make up a large, almost majority of this country. What about balance, you know? Just yin and yang. Male, female balance.”

Reese Witherspoon and her family have a new puppy in their lives.

The 43-year-old actress’s daughter, Ava Phillippe, revealed that the family have welcomed a new pooch into their lives just shortly after losing their other dog, Pepper.

“What a wild & bittersweet week. The day we lost Pepper just so happened to be the day I brought this sweet boy home with me,” Ava, 21, wrote in her caption on Instagram, where she shared a few pics of their new dog.

“This is Benji!” she announced, adding that he’s a “dream of a rescue dog.”

“He loves to cuddle and meet new friends (human & canine) and has quickly adjusted to life in his new home environment,” Ava added. “Benji also enjoys squeaky toys, outdoor adventures, and anything he is allowed (or not allowed) to eat. He is the happiest, smartest boy, and I’m so grateful to be his person. I cannot wait for him to perfect his manners and become his full, goofy self as time goes on!”

“I’m super excited for many adventures with this guy by my side!”

Ava also welcomed her followers to guess just what breed Benji is, because it’s unknown right now.

“Feel free to comment what breeds you think Benji is. I’m pretty sure he’s got some Border Collie in him, but who knows what else!”

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe were together again on Friday night (October 23) to celebrate the birth of their son Deacon, who just turned 17!

The former couple reunited for an intimate birthday party with family in the backyard of one of their homes. In a clip shared to Ryan‘s Instagram Stories, Reese can be seen bringing a cake out while the family sang “Happy Birthday” to Deacon.

It appears that Ryan was the one filming the video.

Reese wrote on Instagram that day, “Happy Birthday to my wonderful son @deaconphillippe! 💫 My bright light/ hardworking / fun-loving / music making / deeply kind son, who always finds the good in everyone and everything. What a pleasure to watch you grow into an amazing young man who is always curious and endlessly creative. Can’t wait to celebrate! I love you so much 🥰🎈#17.”

Ryan wrote some messages on his stories. He said, “Happy birthday to my extraordinary [son].” He also wrote, “You’re the coolest. Happy 17th, my man!!”

Sitting next to Deacon in the video is his girlfriend Marine Degryse, who shared a sweet post on Instagram.

It’s a sad day for Reese Witherspoon and her family.

The 44-year-old Big Little Lies actress took to her Instagram on Tuesday (October 20) to reveal that her beloved French Bulldog Pepper had sadly died the night before.

“Our sweet Pepper passed away yesterday. My goodness, she was such a loyal and devoted family member. I am so heart broken, but I am also deeply grateful for all the love and comfort she brought our family,” Reese wrote. “Now she’s in dog heaven where all great pets go. Chasing tennis balls, running through open fields of wild flowers and being the Queen that she is. That’s what I believe. 🎾🌸 👑 We will always love you, Pepper.”

Reese‘s daughter Ava also mourned Pepper‘s death on Instagram, revealing that their dog had been battling an “aggressive cancer.”

“Today is a tough day. Our sweet girl, Pepper, passed away last night from an aggressive cancer, which she’d been battling for months now,” Ava, 21, wrote. “Just when we thought she was getting better, things took a turn for the worst, and she passed peacefully, surrounded by those who love her. If you ever met Peps, you’d know she was such a special girl. She was smart, sassy, and loved cuddling. She enjoyed playing in the yard with our Labrador, Hank, and would make everyone laugh with her surprisingly speedy ‘zoomies’ around the house. She also had a unique way of expressing herself with funny little noises that sounded like they were from some sort of pigeon.”

Ava continued: “Pepper was simply the best, and I repeatedly told her how perfect I thought she was. This girl got me through so many tough times, including some of my teenage years, and I am forever grateful for our bond. I’ll always treasure the times when I’d come home from college and she would meet me at the door, jumping for joy, and I’d pick her up so she could lick my face. She really knew how to make me feel special! As sad as I am and as much as I’ve cried over losing her, I am happy she had such a great life and is no longer in pain. ❤️ Love you forever, miss Peps.”
