John Mayer has sparked a lot of buzz on social media over a photo he posted to Instagram late Sunday night (December 28).

The photo features the 37-year-old singer and his friend Ricky Van Veen, and it appears to have gone through many filters before hitting the social media site.

“So good to see my friend Ricky again. It’s been a while,” John captioned the pic.

Many fans believe that this is John‘s personal commentary on celebs that have been called out for photoshopping their Instagram pics.

FYI: Ricky, the co-founder of College Humor, is engaged to Girls and Peter Pan Live star Allison Williams.

Allison Williams may not have the most successful love life on the small screen, but in real life she just got engaged to her boyfriend of three years, Ricky Van Veen, her rep confirms to JustJared.com.

The 25-year-old Girls actress met the College Humor co-founder through mutual friends.

“My goal is to create a career I can walk away from and become a mom,” Allison recently told Glamour about the next stage of her life. “I’d love to be a mom – and not have to bring my kids into my trailer … Or a balance [of both]. But you’ve [got to] call it on the fly to a certain extent.”

Girls is currently in the middle of its third season on HBO. There are four more episodes left until the season finale on March 23!
