Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson Arrive in Greece to Celebrate His Birthday!

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are enjoying a little getaway for his birthday!

The Oscar-winning actor and the 63-year-old actress/singer stayed safe in masks as they arrived in Paros Island, Greece on Saturday afternoon (July 11).

The longtime couple are in Greece as they celebrate Tom‘s 64th birthday, which was on Thursday, July 9.

To mark his birthday, Tom shared a video of himself jumping into his pool.

Rita took to Instagram to share a birthday message to Tom.

“Happy Birthday, @tomhanks We love you so much. You are our anchor. Every day with you is a blessing. ‘Give me your answer, fill in a form. Mine for evermore. Will you still need me, will you still feed me. When I’m sixty-four’ YES!” Rita wrote along with the below photo of Tom.

Tom stayed safe with a bandana across his mouth, while Rita had her bandana around her neck.

It’s been a few months now since Tom and Rita first announced they were battling the virus. Since then, the two have recovered and Tom has been donating plasma to help doctors find a cure.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are getting some fresh air.

The 63-year-old actor and the 63-year-old actress and singer were spotted driving around the neighborhood on Sunday (May 24) over Memorial Day Weekend in Brentwood, Calif. amid the global health crisis.

Tom was seen wearing a blue bandana as a face mask while out on the drive, following the couple’s recovery from coronavirus after testing positive in Australia.

Rita recently explained the symptoms she felt before being diagnosed: “Very tired, extremely achy, uncomfortable, didn’t want to be touched. And then the fever started. Chills like I’ve never had before,” she said.

Rita also revealed Tom‘s symptoms were milder than hers and they believe they were exposed to the virus at the same time. They have donated blood as part of a study to hopefully help others. Find out more…

Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson Will Donate Blood to Help Develop Coronavirus Vaccine

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are doing their part to help researchers get one step closer to making the coronavirus vaccine.

The two-time Oscar-winning actor says that he and Rita are going to donate their blood and plasma.

“A lot of the questions [are] what do we do now? Is there something we can do? And, in fact, we just found out that we do carry the antibodies,” Tom said on an NPR podcast. “We have not only been approached, we have said, ‘Do you want our blood? Can we give plasma?’”

Tom already has a cute name in mind for the vaccine.

“In fact, we will be giving it now to the places that hope to work on what I would like to call the ‘Hank-ccine,” he said.

Rita Wilson Explains Her & Tom Hanks' Coronavirus Symptoms & What Happened When She Took Chloroquine

Rita Wilson went on CBS This Morning to detail her and her husband Tom Hanks‘ battle with Coronavirus aka COVID-19.

About her symptoms, she said, “Very tired, extremely achy, uncomfortable, didn’t want to be touched. And then the fever started. Chills like I’ve never had before.”

She added that her fever reached around 102 degrees, and she was given the drug chloroquine, which has been much discussed in the media after Donald Trump has touted it in his press conferences as a possible helpful remedy.

“I know people have been talking about this drug, but I can only tell you that I don’t know if the drug worked, or if it was time for the fever to break…the chloroquine had such extreme side effects. I was completely nauseous, and I had vertigo. I could not walk, and my muscles felt very weak,” she added.

Rita continued, “We have to be very considerate about this drug. We don’t know if it’s safe in this case.”

Rita Wilson is getting candid about her wishes for her husband, Tom Hanks!

The 63-year-old A Simple Wedding actress made an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show on Tuesday (April 7).

During her appearance, Rita discussed her relationship with her husband, Tom, who she’s been married to for over thirty years.

She also revealed after her breast cancer diagnosis years ago that she wrote a song called “Throw Me A Party,” and it’s based on the two things she would want him to do if she were to pass before him.

“If something happens and I should go before you, I just want you to know there’s a couple things that I want,” she explained.

“One is that I want you to be super sad for a really long time…like, I will haunt you,” she joked.

“The second was that I wanted a party! I wanted to have a celebration, and I wanted to have a lot of singing and dancing and people telling stories, and to feel like that was being celebrated. And so, the song came out of that.”

Rita Wilson Raps on Naughty by Nature's 'Hip Hop Hooray' Remix for COVID-19 Relief - Listen!

Rita Wilson is rapping for a good cause.

Following her and her husband Tom Hanksrecovery from the coronavirus, the 63-year-old actress has helped remix Naughty by Nature’s classic “Hip Hop Hooray” to raise money for the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund.

“Hip Hop Hooray is like modern day Shakespeare,” Rita captioned the Instagram video below on Monday (April 6). “I originally learned the song for one of the most fun roles I ever played in the film Boy Genius. It took me a month to learn because it’s so complex and nuanced; it was like training for a marathon. The rhythms and tempos are so unique and creative.”

“When I was quarantined and recovering from COVID-19 I wanted to see if I still remembered it, kind of like a brain exercise,” she continued. “To my surprise I did. I thought it would be fun to put it on my Instagram to show people I was doing okay and to make them smile.”
