Chet Hanks is (once again) the voice of reason we all need right now.

The 29-year-old actor took to Instagram on Monday (March 16) to let concerned fans know how his parents Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are doing after testing positive for coronavirus.

Fans will be happy to know that the couple has since left the hospital and are now under quarantine at a rental home.

“They’re out of the hospital,” Chet Hanks said. “They’re still self-quarantined obviously, but they’re feeling a lot better, so that’s a relief.”

“My prayers go out to you because a lot of people are suffering other than my parents right now,” he continued. “I think the most important thing is we just stay calm because panicking really isn’t necessary, and it’s just making things more difficult than they need to be. If you went to the grocery store and hoarded all the water and toilet paper for yourself I think you’re the problem.”

“You should think more all of others for once,” he added. “I think if we all just be a little less selfish and a little more selfless we’re gonna be completely fine.”

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have left the Australia hospital that they’ve been staying in since testing positive for the coronavirus.

Five days after announcing their diagnoses, the couple, both 63, have left a Queensland hospital, People reports on Monday (March 16).

Tom and Rita are now under quarantine at a rental home, Tom‘s representative says.

Tom and Rita were the first celebrities to announce that they had tested positive to the virus.

It was recently reported that Tom is the only person from the Elvis Presley biopic cast to have tested positive for coronavirus.

Rita Wilson is currently in quarantine with husband Tom Hanks after they both tested positive for Coronavirus and now she’s asking fans for help with something.

The 63-year-old actress and singer wants help with making a playlist of songs that people who are quarantined can listen to while stuck inside.

“Hi guys! I want to make a @Spotify playlist for people self quarantining. Something that might relate to isolation, perhaps? Can you send some song ideas that I can add?” Rita wrote on Twitter on Friday (March 13).

She added, “Also, what should we call it? Quarantine Choruses? This is what one does in quarantine. U think of stuff like this.”

One fan who replied had the perfect name for the playlist: Quarantunes!

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have shared an update on how they are doing, just one day after they revealed to the world that they were diagnosed with coronavirus.

The married couple, who are the first major celebs to go public about testing positive for the virus, are currently in Australia.

“Hello folks. @ritawilson and I want to thank everyone here Down Under who are taking such good care of us. We have Covid-19 and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else,” Tom captioned the selfie on Instagram.

“There are those for whom it could lead to a very serious illness. We are taking it one-day-at-a-time. There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no? Remember, despite all the current events, there is no crying in baseball. Hanx,” he added.

Tom‘s final line of the post is a nod to his classic movie A League of Their Own.

Rita wrote on her page, “A little update below to all of you from @tomHanks and myself. So grateful for the outpouring of prayers, love and support. Means so much and strengthens us.”

Colin Hanks, the son of Tom Hanks, has posted an update on how Tom and Rita Wilson are doing amid their diagnosis of Coronavirus.

“We are so grateful for the outpouring of support from everyone. My parents are receiving excellent care in Australia and are doing well (and in good spirits) given the circumstances,” the 42-year-old actor posted on Instagram. “Despite the fact that I’m in LA and haven’t seen them in over three weeks, we have been in constant contact and am confident that they will make a full recovery.”
