Queen Elizabeth Congratulates Prince Harry & Meghan Markle on Birth Of Daughter Lilibet

Queen Elizabeth has sent her congratulations to grandson Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on the birth of their baby daughter, Lilibet.

The newest member of the British monarchy arrived on Friday, June 4.

“The Queen, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been informed and are delighted with the news of the birth of a daughter for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex,” the official Buckingham Palace statement reads.

Lilibet‘s name is in tribute to her great-grandmother, as it was once her own nickname when she was a young child. Her middle name also pays tribute to her late grandmother, Princess Diana.

Just a few hours ago, it was revealed that Harry‘s brother, Prince William and Kate Middleton, had sent a gift to the couple to celebrate the newest member of their family.

Following the birth of Lilibet, Meghan and Harry made their first statement about her arrival.

Kate Middleton & Prince William Went On A Low Key Romantic Date During Scotland Royal Visit

Kate Middleton and Prince William dress up for a drive-in movie screening during their official royal visit to Scotland on Wednesday night (May 26).

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived the screening of Cruella by driving one of the late Prince Philip‘s 2A Land Rover.

Kate and William were joined at the screening, held at at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, by National Health Service staff to recognize their work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Just the night before, Kate and William stepped out for a low key date night at a popular restaurant and new details have emerged about it.

Kate Middleton Wears Royal Blue For Official Scotland Visit With Prince William

Kate Middleton and Prince William step out for a royal visit at Turning Point Scotland on Monday afternoon (May 24) in Coatbridge, Scotland, United Kingdom.

The Earl and Countess of Strathearn (as they are known in Scotland) spoke with staff and CEO Neil Richardson about the work there, which includes addiction, crime and mental health challenges among citizens of the UK.

Earlier in the weekend, Prince William was seen during a visit to Queens Bay Lodge Care Home, that is run by the Church of Scotland through Cross Reach, to meet with staff, residents and families to hear about the impact of COVID-19 on the home.

While there, William was seen blushing about something one resident, Betty Magee, told him.

William also stopped by the Grassmarket Community Project, a social enterprise set up by Greyfriars Kirk (Church of Scotland), where he learned how to make a bit of furniture from recycled pews and other responsibly-resourced wood.

FYI: Kate is wearing a Zara blazer and Hope skirt for the visit.

Kate Middleton Makes A Stylish Visit To The V&A Museum in London

Kate Middleton takes a private tour of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, England on Wednesday afternoon (May 19).

The 39-year-old Duchess of Cambridge wore a stylish Alessandra Rich herringbone dress for the outing, where she checked out the galleries of which she is a patron.

One of the galleries Kate toured was the Raphael Court, which houses the Raphael Cartoons, a set of full-sized designs for tapestries painted by Renaissance master Raphael on a commission from Pope Leo X.

The Cartoons have been on loan to the V&A from the Royal Collection since 1865, but the gallery which houses them recently underwent a major refurbishment to mark the 500th anniversary of the artist’s death.
