Rupert Everett Opens Up About the Time Colin Firth Kissed Him With Tongue

Rupert Everett has worked with Colin Firth on multiple occasions and he’s opening up about something the actor did that left him in shock.

The 61-year-old actor was interviewed on the latest episode of Piers Morgan’s Life Stories show and he talked about his history with Colin.

The actors met while working on the movie Another Country back in 1984, where Rupert says he “fell in love with” Colin.

“Well, I just got a crush on him. I became obsessed by him and we hung out together all the time. And then I realized we were completely different types of people,” Rupert said. This launched a nearly 20-year feud between the actors, which they have since reconciled.

While filming the 2007 comedy St Trinian’s, the guys had a sex scene and Rupert was completely surprised when Colin used tongue while they kissed.

“The weird thing was, I had no idea that Colin was going to tongue me,” Rupert said. He jokingly added, “In the snog. Yeah. Totally going for it. Yeah. I said, Colin, please respect me.”

Rupert added, “Yeah, I was in shock afterwards.”

In an interview last year, Rupert gave an update on a friendship with another very famous friend who he had a falling out with.

Rupert Everett Gives Update on Friendship with Madonna After Recently Discussing Their Fallout

Rupert Everett is giving an update on his friendship with Madonna after recently opening up about their falling out.

The 61-year-old actor previously wrote about Madonna in his 2006 autobiography, which led to their falling out. The two stars were friends for years and starred in the 2000 movie The Next Best Thing, which was a big flop.

Back in October 2020, Rupert said, “We don’t see each other anymore. I do miss it. She’s an amazing person and that part of my life was incredibly exciting. To be doing a film with her and to be a friend of hers and to have been such a fan of hers. But the fallout from the movie’s failure was gigantic for me, like an outer-space explosion.”

“Actually, I wouldn’t mind getting married now. Yes. I’d marry my boyfriend. Although I would only have two or three people to my wedding,” Rupert said. He believes he’ll be the one to propose because he’s “the one thinking about it,” but also said Henrique “doesn’t know” about the idea. He probably does by now!

Rupert recently revealed why one of his former friends, who is one of the most famous women in the world, no longer trusts him.

Rupert Everett Reveals Why Former Friend Madonna No Longer Trusts Him

Rupert Everett is opening up about his former friendship with Madonna and why she doesn’t trust him anymore.

The two stars worked together on the 2000 movie The Next Best Thing, in which he played her gay best friend and they had a baby together. The movie only grossed $14.9 million in the U.S. and was a big box office dud.

Rupert gave an interview to The Sunday Telegraph‘s Stellar magazine and he was asked about his friendship with Madonna.

“We don’t see each other anymore. I do miss it,” Rupert said (via Daily Mail). “She’s an amazing person and that part of my life was incredibly exciting. To be doing a film with her and to be a friend of hers and to have been such a fan of hers. But the fallout from the movie’s failure was gigantic for me, like an outer-space explosion.”

Rupert and Madonna became friends in 1985 and in his 2006 memoir, he wrote about his early experiences with her, including an incident that involved her ex Sean Penn.

“She really didn’t like [the book],” Rupert previously told Express in 2009. “I think it is very affectionate, and certainly with her I was very careful to only write things that were. But she felt it was an infringement of privacy… Goddesses like that are obsessed with their public image and want to control everything about it, so if anyone is to tell anyone anything about her it’s got to be her.”

A famous DJ recently revealed why Madonna would not make an album with him.

'My Best Friend's Wedding' Cast Reunites 22 Years After Film's Release!

The cast of the 1997 hit romantic comedy My Best Friend’s WeddingJulia Roberts, Cameron Diaz, Rupert Everett, and Dermot Mulroney – reunite on the cover of Entertainment Weekly‘s new issue!

Here’s what the cast had to share about the film, 22 years after its release…

Cameron, on people still loving the film: “People come up to me and just say, ‘My Best Friend’s Wedding!’ and I’m like, ‘Aww.’ It’s just this joyous feeling that you get off of them. I appreciate that so much.”

Julia, on what she loved about the movie: “I just thought it was really clever and just funny. All the physical comedy I loved. Lots of falling down and falling through things, falling all over myself, falling over Dermot. The scene, for me, that made it feel so authentic and earnest is when I finally tell Dermot’s character, ‘Pick me. Let me make you happy.’ Just that line: That’s just so succinct and sweet and meaningful.”

Cameron, on her sister-in-law Nicole Richie being obsessed with the movie: “My sister-in-law is obsessed with this movie. We went to Chicago, like, a year and a half ago, and she took me to every single [location]. She’s like, ‘Remember when you were walking down the street right here and then…; It was so much fun. I was like, ‘Yes, I think I do.’ She’s like, ‘I do, and it really means a lot to me, so I would like for you to pretend like you do.’”
