Naya Rivera's Dad George Calls Out Ryan Murphy For The 'Broken Promises' He Made After Her Death

Naya Rivera‘s dad George is not happy with Ryan Murphy.

Just days after Naya‘s tragic passing last July, the Glee creator spoke out about his intent to create a college fund for her son, Josey Dorsey.

However, according to George, it hasn’t happened.

Naya‘s father took to Twitter and claimed that Ryan has been full of “Broken Promises,” “fake outrage” and “hollow gestures.”

He also claimed that there had been no phone calls despite Ryan saying that he had spoken to her family following her death.

“Everyone needs to know what Ryan Murphy really did … or didn’t do !!! I’m about to blow up this story …. and make sure he’s knows that I know,” George wrote.

He added in a reply to a fan, saying that “When you are part of the Hollywood elite, some people treat others as they are ‘less than’ …. vocalize a good game, but it’s as shallow as the sets on stage , that they create.”

After George‘s tweets came, Ryan cleared the air on his own Twitter account and claimed that talks about a college fund for Josey are still in the works.

“It was a very difficult decision for us to make, but this has been an incredible journey and we have told the story that we wanted to tell the way that we wanted to tell it,” he told GMA.

“Although we know you’ll be sad to see the show go, this season will be filled with all of the love and laughter and tears that you have come to expect from the Evangelista family. I, along with my incredible collaborators, never intended on changing the television landscape. I simply wanted to tell an honest story about family, resilience and love.”

The final season will consist of seven episodes.

In the final season, the year is 1994 and ballroom is a “distant memory” for Blanca (Mj Rodriguez), who is struggling “to balance being a mother with being a present partner to her new love, and her latest role as a nurse’s aide.” Elsewhere, ballroom emcee Pray Tell (Billy Porter) is dealing with “unexpected health burdens” while, in the ballroom scene, a “vicious new upstart house forces the House of Evangelista members to contend with their legacy.”

The show premiered in June of 2018 and follows queer and transgender people of color in the ballroom scene of New York City in the late 1980s and early 1990s at the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

“We got to tell the exact story we wanted, as we wanted to tell it, and I’m incredibly honored and grateful,” Ryan Murphy said in a statement.

Beanie Feldstein Seen In Costume as Monica Lewinsky on 'Impeachment' Set with Sarah Paulson

Here’s your first look at Beanie Feldstein in character as Monica Lewinsky for the upcoming series, Impeachment: American Crime Story!

The 27-year-old Booksmart actress was spotted on set alongside co-star Sarah Paulson on Thursday (December 10) in Los Angeles.

Beanie‘s casting in Impeachment was announced in August 2019, so we’ve been waiting a while to see her in costume. The show is being made by Ryan Murphy and follows the retelling of President Bill Clinton‘s impeachment and relationship with Monica Lewinsky.

The two actresses were both wearing face shields and face masks, so we didn’t get a super clear look at them.

Sarah Paulson is playing Linda Tripp,” Beanie said in an interview with Variety last year. “I love her more than anything and I’ve always been her no. 1 fan. I think I’ve modeled my life over her life in any way I can. We were always emailing — we had never met, but we were, just in life, had been set up on email and were chatting and when I found out…If you know the story, [Lewinsky and Tripp] are best friends and then one deeply betrays the other one, [Paulson’s character] betrays me and I just couldn’t be more excited to play that out with the person I think to be one of the best actors of all time. And she’s just so funny and warm and giving, so to take this journey with her is going to be really exciting.”
