Macaulay Culkin's 'AHS' Character Has 'Crazy, Erotic Sex' with Kathy Bates

Here’s a detail we didn’t expect to hear today: Macaulay Culkin‘s American Horror Story character is going to have crazy, erotic sex with Kathy Bates‘ character for the upcoming season.

“I have always loved Macaulay Culkin‘s work,” showrunner Ryan Murphy told E! News. “I loved everything that he’s done, I love the stuff he did in Home Alone, I also loved the sort of the older, more recent stuff that he did. And he hasn’t worked in a while.”

“So, I have this very, very great insane part. And I asked to speak to him on the phone and he said OK,” he continued. “[When] I cast, I never let people read things, usually. I said, ‘OK, here’s the pitch.’ And I told them the character and I told him he has crazy, erotic sex with Kathy Bates and does other things. And he paused and he goes, ‘This sounds like the role I was born to play.’ So, he signed up right then and there.”

Kathy, 71, is a regular on American Horror Story, while this will be 31-year-old Macaulay‘s first stint on the show. The season’s theme has not been announced yet, but the core cast has!

‘The Politician’ Season 2 Will Premiere Mid-June, Ryan Murphy Confirms

Fans of The Politician, rejoice!

Creator Ryan Murphy just confirmed that the Netflix series will still be premiering this summer despite the pandemic.

“Season two, we were lucky enough that we finished filming and editing right before the coronavirus thing happened,” he told Collider. “We have seven. We finished all of our episodes. We have a great second season and I think we’re trying to figure out how do we mix them now in the social distancing age. I think we’ve figured it out. It’s going to come out in the middle of June still, season two. I’m really proud of it. I love what we came up with, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan and I.”

As for season 3, check back in a couple of years. “What I would love to do is take a couple of years off and have Ben Platt get a little bit older for his final race,” Ryan shared. “That would obviously be a presidential race, right? That’s always what we had designed, and I think that’s what our plan is. I’m going to wait. Ben is young, so I want to wait a couple of years to figure out how we age him up a little bit. But that’s always been my plan.”

In the meantime, Ryan has another show on Netflix called Hollywood, out May 1st. Watch the Hollwood trailer now!

Matt Bomer Reacts to Fan Who Can't Tell Him Apart from Ryan Murphy's Leading Men

Matt Bomer is speaking out after a meme went viral this week that showed five of Ryan Murphy‘s leading men side-by-side – him included!

Matt, Cheyenne Jackson, Finn Wittrock, Max Greenfield, and Wes Bentley – who have all appeared on American Horror Story - are pictured with smiles on their faces and the author of the tweet couldn’t tell them apart.

“i could not name one of these men if someone put a gun to my head,” Twitter user @vintagehols wrote.

Matt retweeted the post and added, “I love all of these men and their unique talents. But if you’re going to line us up and objectify us every few months like Ryan Murphy’s version of a Hitchcock blonde…then I’ve got dibs on Grace Kelly.”

Matt has worked with Ryan on Glee, The New Normal, American Horror Story, the HBO film The Normal Heart, and the upcoming Netflix film The Boys in the Band.

Is Ariana Grande Going to Star in 'American Horror Story'? Fans Think Ryan Murphy Dropped a Big Clue!

Is Ariana Grande going to be starring in the new season of American Horror Story? Fans seem to think Ryan Murphy dropped a huge clue.

Over the weekend, Ryan posted what seems to be a teaser photo for the upcoming season of a character we’ve seen before: the person in the rubber suit. They first made an appearance on the show back in 2011.

Around the same time, fans began to notice something about Ryan‘s account: he followed Ariana Grande, who starred in Ryan‘s Fox show Scream Queens in 2015. This is significant because Ryan only follows two people on the platform now (his husband and Ariana.)

We’ll have to wait and see what this means, if anything! Find out who else has been cast in the new season.

Rob Lowe in Talks for Joe Exotic Adaptation From Ryan Murphy

Rob Lowe might star in a Joe Exotic adaptation from Ryan Murphy!

The 56-year-old actor and the 54-year-old screenwriter are in talks to work together on the scripted project, Deadline reports.

Rob would take on the role of Joe (aka Joseph Maldonado-Passage), the lead character from Netflix’s popular docuseries Tiger King.

Rob teased the potential adaptation on Instagram, with photos of himself dressed up in character and holding onto a dog.

“Rob Exotic,” he captioned them. “UPDATE: Ryan Murphy and I will be developing our version of this insane story. Stay tuned!”

It is not known if the project would be a movie or limited series, though it would likely be on Netflix.

Rob Lowe currently stars in Fox’s spin-off series 9-1-1: Lone Star, co-created and executive produced by Ryan Murphy.

Another Tiger King-inspired project, a limited series titled Joe Exotic, is also in the works starring and executive produced by Kate McKinnon.

Ryan Murphy's 'Hollywood' Hits Netflix on May 1 - See the First Look Images!

Executive producer, writer and director Janet Mock provided this note about the series: “With the present so fraught and the future uncertain, we turned to the past for direction, uncovering buried history to spin an aspirational tale of what ifs: What if a band of outsiders were given a chance to tell their own story? What if the person with greenlight power was a woman? The screenwriter a black man? What if the heroine was a woman of color? The matinee idol openly gay? And what if they were all invited into the room where the decisions are made, entering fully and unapologetically themselves to leave victorious and vaunted, their place in history cemented. Hollywood is a love letter to our little industry town where dreamers dwell, stars are born, and magic transcends reality.”

The limited series, which consists of seven episodes on the streaming service, stars series regulars David Corenswet, Darren Criss, Jeremy Pope, Samara Weaving, Laura Harrier, Jim Parsons, Dylan McDermott, Holland Taylor, Patti LuPone, Jake Picking and Joe Mantello, with notable guest stars Maude Apatow, Mira Sorvino and Rob Reiner.
