Kathryn Newton strikes a pose at the premiere of Netflix’s The Society.

The 22-year-old actress attended the premiere of her new series on Thursday (May 9) in Los Angeles, California.

Kathryn was joined by Olivia Nikkanen, Gideon Adlon, Rachel Keller, Salena Qureshi, Jack Mulhern, and others at the red carpet event at L.A. Live.

The show, which has been described as a “female-led Lord of the Flies,” focuses on a group of New England teens who find themselves in an alternate reality in which their parents don’t exist.

The Society is now streaming on Netflix.

The new show will feature 10 hour-long episodes that debut on May 10. The series follows a group of teenagers who are mysteriously transported to a facsimile of their wealthy New England town without any trace of their parents. Their newfound freedom will be fun… but it will also be very dangerous. As they struggle to figure out what has happened to them and how to get home, they must establish order and form alliances if they want to survive.

The cast of young stars includes Rachel Keller, Kathryn Newton, Alex Fitzalan, Kristine Froseth, Jacques Colimon, Sean Berdy, Toby Wallace, Gideon Adlon, Olivia DeJonge, Alex MacNicoll, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Jose Julian, Salena Qureshi, Jack Mulhern, and Grace Victoria Cox.

The upcoming series, due out in May of 2019, follows a group of teenagers who are mysteriously transported to a facsimile of their wealthy New England town without any trace of their parents. As they struggle to figure out what has happened to them and how to get home, they must establish order and form alliances if they want to survive.

The first season will consist of ten one-hour episodes, which were filmed outside of Boston, Mass.
