The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has announced its 2019 honorees!

Five honorees were selected to receive the 2019 Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime artistic achievements, the organization announced on Thursday (July 18).

Earth, Wind & Fire, Sally Field, Linda Ronstadt, Sesame Street, and conductor Michael Tilson Thomas will all be honored at the event.

“The Kennedy Center Honors celebrates icons who, through their artistry, have left an indelible stamp on our collective cultural consciousness. Earth, Wind & Fire’s hooks and grooves are the foundation of a seminal style that continues to shape our musical landscape; Sally Field has brought us unforgettable characters, both joyous and poignant, for more than five decades; Linda Ronstadt is the defining voice of a generation, spanning genres, languages, and continents; Sesame Street continues to revolutionize how children and adults learn about our world; and Michael Tilson Thomas goes far beyond keeping score: he has shaped American music and musical institutions for the 21st century.” said Kennedy Center Chairman David M. Rubenstein.

This is the first time a television program will receive the award.

The Kennedy Center Honors medallions will be presented on Saturday, December 7, the night before the Gala, at a State Department dinner. The Honors Gala will be recorded for broadcast on CBS as a two-hour primetime special on Sunday, December 15 at 8 p.m. ET.

The 35-year-old I Fall In Love Too Easily singer and the 50-year-old X-Files actress hit the red carpet at the 2019 Olivier Awards at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday (April 7) in London, United Kingdom.

Katharine presented during the evening’s ceremony, while Gillian was nominated for Best Actress for her work as Margo Channing in All about Eve.

Katharine is currently starring in the West End production of Waitress. The show will be eligible at next year’s Olivier Awards.

Gloria Estefan, Sally Field, Bill Pullman, Kelsey Grammer and Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical nominee Patti LuPone were all in attendance at the event, as well as Beverley Knight, who performed during the In Memorium section of the show.

The show saw Meryl Streep, Sean Penn, Kate Winslet, Laura Linney, Hugh Laurie, Sally Field, Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey and more taking home awards.

Sally Field is honoring Burt Reynolds after his death.

The 71-year-old Oscar-winning actress released a statement mourning the loss of her former love after it was announced he had passed away at the age of 82.

“There are times in your life that are so indelible, they never fade away,” Sally told People. “They stay alive, even forty years later. My years with Burt never leave my mind. He will be in my history and my heart, for as long as I live. Rest, Buddy.”

Sally and Burt first start dating after meeting on the set of their 1977 movie Smokey and the Bandit.

The pair starred in four movies together and dated for over five years before calling it quits in 1982.

Emma Stone and Jonah Hill star in the upcoming Netflix series Maniac, and you can watch the trailer right here!

The forthcoming series will hit the streaming service on September 21.

The series was created by Patrick Somerville and directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga. Maniac tells the stories of Annie Landsberg (Stone) and Owen Milgrim (Hill), two strangers drawn to the late stages of a mysterious pharmaceutical trial. Things do not go as planned.

The series also stars Justin Theroux and Sally Field.

Actress Sally Field‘s tweet about the Samantha Bee and Ivanka Trump controversy is getting lots of attention online.

If you missed it, Samantha called Ivanka a “feckless c*nt” on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee earlier this week. The statement caused a ton of controversy, and Samantha later apologized.

Sally weighed in on her Twitter, and the tweet has over 47,000 retweets at this time.

“I like Samantha Bee a lot, but she is flat wrong to call Ivanka a c*nt. C*nts are powerful, beautiful, nurturing and honest,” Sally posted on her Twitter account.

Adam Rippon is opening up about meeting Sally Field‘s son, Sam Greisman!

The 28-year-old Olympic figure skater visited ET‘s studio on Thursday (March 15) and discussed meeting Sally‘s son during the Human Rights Campaign gala after she tried to set the two up via social media.

“It was nice to meet him. While I was at the dinner, someone came up to me and they’re like, ‘Sally Field’s son is here,’ and I was like, ‘I have to meet him,’” he explained.

“So, they introduced me, and I go over to him, and he’s sitting in the chair and he’s like, ‘I’m so sorry.’ And I was like, ‘Don’t be sorry at all!’ Yeah, he was embarrassed.”

“I think there were some friendship feels,” he added.

As for what he’s looking for in a guy?

“What I’m looking for is somebody who has a lot of passion and is funny,” Adam revealed.
