Ben Platt Reacts to 'Surreal' Tony Award Nomination!

Ben Platt is sharing his excitement after being nominated for a 2017 Tony Award!

The 23-year-old star of the hit Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen took to Twitter to react to his first ever Tony nomination.

“Thank you to all for the kind words, love and support- a surreal morning that I’ll remember forever. So proud of my @DearEvanHansen family,” Evan tweeted.

Evan
was later joined by fellow Broadway stars Andrew Rannells, Josh Groban, Sally Field, Cynthia Nixon, Gavin Creel, Danny DeVito, and Andy Karl as they attended the Meet the Nominees Press Junket on Wednesday (May 3) at the Sofitel Hotel in New York City.

Sally Field Celebrates Opening Night Of 'The Glass Menagerie' with Finn Wittrock!

Sally Field is back on Broadway in the revival of Tennessee WilliamsThe Glass Menagerie!

With direction by Tony winner Sam Gold, the 70-year-old actress joins two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello, Finn Wittrock and Madison Ferris in the limited run scheduled through July 2.

“It’s an extraordinary piece of writing,” Sally told Vogue while attending the opening night party for The Glass Menagerie at Sardi’s Theatre district eatery on Thursday (March 9) in New York City. “It is one of the great American plays.”

“I thought I would never have the opportunity to bring it to New York,” Sally continued. “And then [director] Sam Gold did it in Amsterdam and wanted to bring it here, and really it was Scott Rudin putting the pieces together because Scott knew how much I wanted to do it and felt I would never have the opportunity, and he really is the magician behind it. This really wouldn’t have been done if Sam Gold hadn’t wanted to do it.”

'Loving' Star Ruth Negga Continues Oscar Buzz at AFI Fest 2016

Ruth Negga is kicking off the upcoming award season with style and class.

The 34-year-old actress, who is drumming up a ton of buzz for her role in Loving, recently talked about why she was interested in the part.

“I was moved by the Lovings’ story because of my own background as a mixed-race person,” Ruth told the Los Angeles Times. “I was also drawn to this great love story that has never been told.”

She added, “We’re living in a very tumultuous time. People are looking for integrity somewhere, for a direction to take. The Lovings’ story isn’t over.”

Ruth stepped out for the Indie Contender’s Reception held during 2016 AFI Fest presented by Audi at Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Sunday (November 13) in Hollywood.

Salma Hayek is simply gorgeous while hitting the red carpet at The Women’s Media Center 2016 Women’s Media Awards held at Capitale on Thursday (September 29) in New York City.

The 50-year-old actress was joined by Mariska Hargitay, host Sally Field, Gayle King and Gloria Steinem at the event recognizing and honoring game-changers for women in media.
